What do you think of my paper flower bouquets and how can I make them better?

Wow! They look great! How did you make them?

If it was me I’d try and get a bit of green in to break them up a bit. Could you make leaves and maybe dye them green?

The map roses are so pretty. Are you making button hole flowers too?

I prefer the map ones to the book ones.  HOW COULD YOU CUT UP A BOOK?????  *faints in horror*

I think they all look great, despite my feelings about book destruction.  =)

I really like them. I’m curious, what did you use as your stem for your bouquet in attempt 2?

@peachacid:  I am wondering if she may mean some type of craft paper that is made to look like book pages?

@JenGirl:  Those are amazing. You did a fantastic job.  I cannot even imagine how much work and time are involved in doing something like this — especially for the centerpieces!

These look awesome!  If you’re concerned about the colour of the book page ones (and I don’t think you need to be), Mrs. Cinnamon Buns did the same bouquets as you, and painted her flowers.  There’s probably a tutorial in there somewhere in her posts!

I don’t think you could improve them whatsover, they are perfection! Great job. I also cut up some books for my own wedding crafts, didn’t bother me at all:)

Each different set looks gorgeous, I’m envious because I tried paper flowers and couldn’t get them nearly as perfect as yours!!  I do think some little pops of color will be a nice touch for the bouquets, and the round shape is fine.  Have you considered mixing the different types of flowers (kusadama/map/book) into your bouquets?

I like the map roses the best. Now you just need some filler. You can make paper greenery, or used dried baby’s breath.

@JenGirl:  I actually made kusudama flowers made out of book pages for my escort cards.  They were a huge hit:
