I have purchased a ton of blank coasters to do our save the dates. I was going to get custom stamps but it ended up being a huge hassel. I think I have decided to have them letterpressed with this design.

Our colors are pale yellow, peach, and coral. The bridesmaids dresses are gray along with the suits being black and vests being gray. I am using yellow seersucker fabric in various parts of the wedding decor. I tried to incorperate it all without going overboard.

    What do you think?

i like it! Two things; i would use broader yellow strips. think fatter, fewer. I wouldn't have the red border. I would leave it open.

I love the square, LOVE the font and the general feel of it!

My colours are grey, yellow and white. Here is mine. I did it in photoshop.

I think they're very cute. The only thing I noticed is that the big space between "charleston," and "sc" looks a little weird. Maybe you could either center the comma in that space or just center that whole line instead of justifying it. But I'm not a designer or anything, so maybe someone can come up with something better or maybe no one else notices it. Also, maybe the second line should be more centered (up and down) between the first and third lines. Sorry, I don't want to sound critical, I really do think the concept is cute!

ETA: I saw you tweaked the border. I actually like both borders, but as I learned from my own save-the-dates, borders make it really obvious if things are off-center or misaligned. Just something to think about when you go to a printer.

@bmore: Thanks so much for your advice. I did notice that spacing was wierd between the second and third line. I don't know what's up with that. And I do see what you are saying about the spacing between charleston and sc. I'll have to play with that a little to see what might look better. Thanks! :)

good call on the spacing, bmore.

I think everyone wants to do the best job possible and that's why we ask for feedback. I kept having to remind myself ...relax, do it again, make it perfect. Its really brave to take on designing your own STD's and invites. i have 5 versions of mine LOL. But now i feel like it is done correctly and is something i am proud of. When you finish, you will be SO happy!

I really like it.. Spacing as youve noted could be a problem if you dont tweek it. I like the second border more. Have you thought of having two differant fonts to make it stand out? just a thought... Dont want everything blending. :)

A few suggestions in terms of getting these letterpressed:

The colors are no problem, but you're going to pay for 3-colors with the yellow, grey, and coral so it could be expensive; I would be careful about the grey going over the yellow since it may throw the colors off on the press (letterpress inks are a bit transparent naturally and rely on the 'background' color to throw them to a different color); i.e. since you have the grey going over yellow AND white, you're probably going to notice a difference...

The only other thoughts is like the pp, maybe reducing the space between charleston and sc... just a bit, not too much. :)

Also, I think the first edition will print better in letterpress. :)  Hope that helps!!!

Talk to your letterpress printer before you proceed...I had to change my invitation design about 15 times before we got it to where they could letterpress it, due to ink and machinery requirements.

Thats super cute! My only question is why did you put so much space between "charleston" and "sc"? I would maybe put them closer togather if I were you but just my opinion!

I agree that the space between Charleston, and SC looks strange. Other than that, I looove it, especially the border on the second one.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions! :) I was trying to make everything "blocked" I guess the correct word is justifying? That is why the Charleston, SC looks wierd. Any suggestions on how to make it look better? Also, good call sunnydebs on the wesbite!!! I totally forgot to add it! Do I have to put "formal invite to follow"? I would rather not since they are coasters...
