Do you think its too short?
Does it flow nicely?
I did take a small piece from a movie, the 4th line. I liked it and thought it to be appropriate
ANY SUGGUSTIONS will be great!!
You are my best friend, my one and only.
The one I want to share my life with.
I promise to love you unconditionally.
And not to get mad at you at everything when I’m really mad at you for one thing.
I will trust you with my heart and keep yours with me to love and care for until death do us part.

Why mention being mad at him at all? Promising not to get mad at him for everything when your just mad at him for one thing is a bit of a weird thing to say and still sounds very negative on your part as you will still be mad at him for something. Sorry but I would scrap it completely as I don’t think you should have to assure him that he is your one and only either, surely he should already know this fact?

Kudos to you for starting early… I scribbled mine a half hour before saying them.
I would add to it a bit, and I think having the fourth line is cute– it’s not overtly negative, and your guests will giggle. And I would keep “You are my best friend, my one and only.” Of course he knows it, but this is the time when you’re affirming your commitment.

@Irish-bride: I just liked it, maybe it just sounds good for a movie. I’m trying to be negative. It’s just a little humor. Plus wouldn’t anything you say for vows kind of already be known anyway, its not suppose to shock anyone.
the vow is just something I just made up, something that does need some work.

@Mrs. Gremmlin: Thank you, I’m glad you caught the humor. Our pastor wants us to give the vows to her so she can print out a program. We are getting married outside so I guess it make sense if they cannot hear every word they can at least read what we are saying.
It’s still a working process.
