Thanks...I'm stll not sure if I like it. Hmm I guess I'll have to wait till my dad gets it on the computer and we see how it prints (he does it all the time with his watercolor paintings so I can get him to adjust the color and stuff a little)
Did you use watercolor? Is the paper wet from the watercolor? It's hard to see. Maybe you should use watercolor paper to avoid wrinkling (if that is in fact what I am seeing). I'd like to see it once it is scanned. But I definitely like the whimsical vibe.
@Jacqi: I actually redid it on watercolor. I used watercolor pencils but I forgot what a pain in the butt the are to work with. I'm waiting for my dad to rescan the new one
I can see why you're unsure about the drawing... Hopefully your dad can work his watercolor/scanning magic & you'll be happier with it! I like the whimsical vibe and colors!! Your little details are cute too! As always, I'm a big fan of your DIY projects! :)
Alright here is my new version (again sorry for the cell phone pics. I was sending them to FH for his approval so I haven't gotten the "real" camara out yet)

I absolutly love all the whimsical wedding maps out there. I tried my hand at making the traditional type per Mrs Ballet Flats tutorial but I wasn't completely satisfied. I then drew my own version of the whimsical kind. I think it turned out half descent but part of me still isn't satisfied (I think it's my GIS experience getting in the way because I know the map isn't accurate).
What do you think?

I think I'm going to put the actual directions on the park and parking instructions and just have the front of the card be the map
