The orchids will actually be light pink instead of this color, it was all the florist had today. That is the table overlay just set on our kitchen table. I feel like there is something missing… I don’t really want to use a mirror underneath though. What do you all think?

@dskinsey10: It looks great! If it’s within your budget, I might add another one or two cylinders of a different heights!

@Fallicious1012: i agree. or i would make the candle votives taller (that would be less expensive). i wouldn’t do a mirror- i think thats a bit dated.

I agree with the taller candles on the sides. Maybe rose petals too.

even if you can’t add more pillar vases with flowers, i think that other vases with floating candles would suffice… just to add a bit more drama and flair!

Yeah it definately feels like its missing something…. You could do the taller side candles as PP suggested but I would consider sprinkling some flowers on the table also.

I like the one vase of orchids (beautiful!) – they are so striking, sometimes I think the multiple vases takes away the focus…Just my opinion, though. I am doing the (dated) mirro under mine just to have something that keeps that space on the table clear….I love my vases and flowers and I don’t want anything crowding in on them 😉 It is also a dark venue, so it will throw the light from the submerged LEDs a bit more.

@futureboo: I like that idea (:
I think they’re really pretty and some extra height on the sides would balance it out

It just seems a bit disconnected. Some weight at the bottom might help-pebbles work.
You could also add a small shallow glass vase with the same pebbles and just one blossom.
In this centerpiece they also added a pebble tile base- you get these at a home store.

Thanks for all the advice! I agree that something needs to be holding it all together on bottom. I didn’t really want to use rose petals because that’s pretty different from orchids. And I agree that mirrors seem out-dated. But then I found this idea where you attach a peice of foam to the bottom of the mirror and seal it with ribbon and I think it looks great. So I might do this!
