What do you think of our potential save the date cards?

The sign with the letters should be in front of a darker background image… through the fence… well you can barely see it.

I don’t like the editing to the top left picture. I don’t think it should be blurred around the edges, I think it should remain sharp like the other images. I’d use one of the versions you have without that effect. And I’m having a prettyhard time reading the date that’s written on the glass.

@BabyBrain:  Ok, first of all, is that Ruby’s Mount Kembla sign important? That’s what I see instead of your Save the Date. I would make the Save the Date on the bottom left stand out more, have that picture take up one half of the save the date card, and have the other half be a variation of your pose at the Mount Kembla sign but without the sign. I think the pic on the top left is a little TMI…ish.

This is fixable – don’t worry. It just looks more like an advertisment for Mount Kembla than a STD at the moment…

That Rubys sign is so overpowering its all I see. I didn’t even see that Save the Date or the actual wedding date.

@BabyBrain:  We’re just trying to help – if you ask for honest input, well, you’ll get that, lol. Hmmm… I think other bees can chime in as to whether they’ve included their venue information on their STDs. I say that b/c I have never seen a STD with venue information on it. Include your favorite picture if you want, but I strongly suggest making the save the date and actual date stand out more. I only know you are getting married 4/24/14 b/c it’s on your profile – I can barely see it on your STD.

@BabyBrain:  I think simply rearranging the pictures would be a big help. I would put the save the date sign up top and if you can darken the date in photoshop that would be great. I actually like the sign that says where the location is I just think that the save the date part needs to be moved up top to completement it! If you can’t darken your actual sign I would just write in a pretty font in one of your colors across the bottom “Save the date: X XX XXXX” so people get it. I actually can see the date once I know to look for it so I would say that if you include it in text also people will look for it in the pictures and go AHHHH Overall I honestly like it once the save the date sign is moved up top

@BabyBrain:  It’s too hard to read honey. Why don’t you look at some templates for an idea? I just googled Save the Date and saw this, it’s cute and looks like it’d be pretty easy to make.

This is also simple but pretty

@BabyBrain:  If you’re game, I’d be happy to put together a couple of STD examples for you if you sent me your favourite photos?  I’m no professional but I do have photoshop and I do run my own website so have sort of default taught myself graphic design 😛  Sometimes getting fresh eyes might help?  Send me a message if you’d like me to give it a go.  It will be after work today but since you’re also an Aussie bride we’re going to be in a similar time zone 🙂
