I like the name, but voted not sure because all I can think about is the song that says F a lot.  But I’m sure by the time he gets old enough no one will remember that song.  Although I totally pulled it up on youtube, because I kind of like it.

How is it pronounced? Eee-mon or Aa-mon? I always try to think of what it could rhyme with or what the nickname would likely be. It immediately reminded me if Jude Law’s character Inman from Cold Mountain ๐Ÿ™‚

@smith207: Ooooh Aaa-man. That’s better than Ee-mon which made me think of being teased with “Semen Eamon” or something once kids get to that age. I think I’d prefer Aa-mOn to Aa-mAn though.

I am kind of “ehh” about it.  It’s not great, but not terrible.  ๐Ÿ™‚ That probably wasn’t helpful at all, was it, LOL!

I thought it would be pronounced Ee-mon…. Maybe you can make the spelling more similar to the pronunciation?

Love it, but biased – my FFIl’s name. Good proper irish name! We’re going with Dara, Danann, Fionnan or Senan for a boy, whenever that (hopefully) happens. With Rua as a second name if there is any indication of red-hairedness!
