Are they brown and gold? I think they'll go with you colors. Personally, I never pay attention to chairs at weddings. But I understand where you're coming from. I'm worried about the ugly mauve floral curtains at my reception venue going with our pink, ivory, and black color scheme.
I really don't think they are bad...I have definitely seen worse! I don't think they need anything, because they seem very neutral. Our reception location had red banquet chairs and metal folding chairs. We used chair covers, just so it would all look cohesive. If they had just one kind of chair, we might not have done anything at all.
Its one of those things that you worry about now but to tell you the truth, have you ever been to a wedding and thought, "hmm.... these chairs totally don't go with the wedding?" I have had to bring things into perspective so many times throughout the process. You have to step back and think like a guest and realize they probably wouldn't even notice. Especially since they are pretty neutral. If they were orange I would say yes but I'm sure they will be just fine. When do you really see them anyway. People sit in them and cover them for other guests to see and they have their back to them anyway. I wouldnt' worry about it :)
With your neutral colors, I actually think these will work well. In the pictures, they seem to be neutral browns. You could use the money saved elsewhere....maybe a photo booth, an extra hour of music, etc. Your guests will be able to appreciate those lot more! =)
Thank you guys for all your help! It's making me feel a lot better about my chairs..and saving me on the cost of the chair covers!
The chairs have a black frame around them...with the center being a more faint black and tan/ivory pattern and bronze-y legs.. kinda of hard to tell in the picture but i think you're right...guests don't even pay attention to the chairs.. my FH was telling me the same thing. I guess I needed to hear it from someone other than him for decor advice.
Wow was a different looking chair! I have never seen a chair like that! mind you they're nice! I think they will look great with your decor! There should be no issues! I wish I had chairs like that and didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for ours
They're ok. Kinda typical
Chair covers are hella expensive though. Like $4 a chair, so it may not be worth it. I would rather deal with semi-ugly chairs (they're not that bad IMO) than shell out $400 to cover them up!
i think that they are great! And what's even better is that it's an extra decor item that you don't have to pay for! So if you're doing linens- a gold/bronze with bronze/gold napkin (alternate to the linen) would look fabulous with a simple low centerpiece of green and ivory florals. You probably will want to do a lower centerpiece since the chairs have such detail you don't want the space to look too too busy
I think those are really cute! I wouldn't bother covering them up since they match so well with your colors!
They are kind of vintage-y. I think they would look cool as long as you're not doing a super modern-minimalist theme
I like them! I think they would work with your colors! They are way better then the chairs at my venue! I say use them as is!
Well is there any way that you could post the chairs with the tables to see how they look in the room? Then I could give you a better answer.
Thank goodness your colors are more earthtones! I think they would actually go nice with the colors you described... definitely don't splurge on the chair covers. Like a PP said: I've never noticed chairs at a wedding & sometimes we have to kind of check ourselves or we'll make ourselves crazy! Eek!
They are busy, but I'm sure-- with the help of the hive-- you can make them work!
I think they will go great with your color combo for your wedding....
I like them! I don't think you have anything to worry about...don't sweat it! Everything will look great!

My venue decided to get new chairs and I don't know how I feel about them. I'm definitely not crazy about the pattern because they are kind of corporate but I'm already over my budget. My colors are more of the natural color scheme with sage greens, chocolate browns, and ivory. I just wanted to get more opinions on them...Like em or Hate em? Do they need covers or sashes?
