So, this is a picture of chairs similar to the ones our venue has. They are those black plastic chairs. They are a little bit square-shaped. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get away with these or if I should get chair covers. For reference, the bridesmaids are wearing black but the flowers/decor will be red, pink and white.

@JacobsMama: I say neither. Can you afford to rent entirely new chairs?

I think you can go either way. With your other decorations, they’re probably neutral enough to not be noticed.

I’m thinking you should maybe go with rentals. These just don’t say “wedding” to me. They remind me a little of the chairs in the waiting room of a doctor’s office. Chair covers may work out too.

I HATE chair covers, personally. I’d either deal with the chairs, or if you have the budget for it, rent new ones

@JacobsMama: I don’t think anyone will even notice the chairs! They’ll be too busy eating/dancing/socializing.

No one remembers the seats. If you’re super unhappy, get new chairs. I’d just leave them.

If you can afford it, I’d get rentals. If not, then covers.

If it won’t stress your budget, go for it!
But I’ve never gone to a wedding and thought about the chairs!

I’m not big on chair covers, but I think it all depends on the rest of your decor & style. With black bridesmaid dresses, it could be OK if your look is modern & sleek. If your going for something more vintage for example, they could clash. Renting chairs & covers can be a really expensive addition if they’re not neccesary, so if you can find a way to make them work, I’d keep them! Or what about maybe just a bow or something to make them match instead of a full cover?
Personally, I like the look of those chairs, better than the look of chair covers.

Black chairs could work with your colors as long as the style doesn’t clash. Not a fan of chair covers…at all.

They are too “office type” for me, in my opinion. I don’t think they’d look right for a wedding.
