Like many of you, I am wearing heels during the ceremony/photos but am very much a COMFORT girl and am terrified of being consigned to my kitten heels all night. I am think of switching to these guys for the reception. I did buy some sparkly flats but they have literally no height to them. I thinking the the converse have a slight heel and will reduce the dreaded dress drag. Ideas?

You can find flats with a small heel or kitten heels with a small heel.
I personally hate the converse trend with wedding dresses. I think it’s ugly and odd.

I don’t care for this pattern, but I’m not the one wearing them and it’s not my wedding. Do what you want.

Converse have fractionally taller heels than flats would so I dont think that part will be much help. I like chucks but not impressed with those particular ones.

I hate heels and would probably like to wear Converse on my own wedding day but personally I really dont like these ones.

I think converse will be cute for the reception. I elope in a canyon and had planned to wear heels for the ceremony and pics, but I ended up leaving my chucks on for the entire ceremony. Lol I would’ve broken my ankle wearing heels. My dress was a simple lace ivory short dress and my chucks were purple. (My late great-grandma’s favorite color) my husband had black chucks. Our pics came out great and cute. Wish I can post a picture, but for some reason WB won’t let me.
ETA: My chucks were brand new, btw. Lol. I bought them to switch after wearing my heels and take a few fun pics with them.

Do you generally wear converse/does the style mesh well with your personality? For me, anyone who knows me would find it very strange to see converse on my feet, so I would just make sure it goes with your general style. The design is ok, but to me it looks more like some rose print converse bought at Nordstrom than a custom etsy design. I think if you’re going to pay a premium for a “custom” design, it should be a bit more special.

I don’t like them….but I hate converse and I hate the converse at wedding trend. I guess if you’re someone who always wears them in your everyday life it wouldn’t be as odd, but if you don’t it just looks like you’re trying to be trendy. I personally don’t find converse to be comfortable AT ALL so they would not be my go-to for dancing shoes. That being said, I’m a beach girl so we are basically always in flip flops. At my reception I switched to flip flops, as did a good majority of my bridesmaids (while other guests ended up barefoot).
