I love Aviella (ay-vee-ella pronounciation?). Colton I neither hate nor love. Makes me think of horses!

I love Colton. Aviella isn’t my style, but isn’t a bad name.

I like Colton. Our neighbor’s son is a Colton and they call him Colt-man. Adorable!

I’m not sure how I feel about Aviella, mostly b/c I don’t know how to pronounce it. Probably Ay-vee-ella like PP said, but she might spend her life having people stumble over it: “Ah-vee-ay-ah” “Ay-vee-el-ay” and any combination…

@sheclicksherheels:  I know a woman named Avriel – it’s a similar thought to what you had, but a bit more obvious how to pronounce it. (it’s also a beautiful and original name)

The girl name seems like one of the devil sisters and yes I’m talking 101 Dalmatians

Not really a fan of either of them, but to each their own.

Aviella seems too made up…does it have any signifance for you?

Colton is too country for me.

I don’t like either of them.  I would have trouble pronouncing Aviella, and I know a lot of Coltons.

I love the name Colton… However I don’t love Aveilla… Mostly because I can’t say it the “right” way.  I keep saying Ah-vey-lee-ah, which I like better for some reason. 🙂

I like them both, but something to consider: The girl name is going to be hard to pronounce. I can relate to this. EVERYONE stumbles over my name, at my FI’s family functions I called a million different names and I HATE that. I wish my mom would have given me something easier for everyone else, although I do like that I’m the only one I know with the name.

Colton is such a great name, but so unlike your girl name, it’s becoming really popular. If you’re okay with many other Coltons then it’s a great name, which has to be why it’s so wildly popular!

Don’t let a bunch of crazy people online have too much influence on your future children’s names 🙂
