I don't care for them. I like the jeweled detail but I feel like the material is a little casual for your dress-- are they leather or something? I think you need a satin. Doesn't your dress have that fabulous 9 foot train? Let me look around and see if I can find something you may like-- your dress is incredible, by the way.
The shoes aren't leather. i am not really sure what material it is some sort of soft fabric with almost a flocking feel (I know that probably sounds weird but best I can explain it), and has kind of a metallic look which doesnt show up in the photos.
What about these from Urban Outfitters? I LOVE them--
Here they are in the plain, without the feather. They come in the navy, but I could only find the teal pictured.
These are $40 from Gap

I agree with texasslaw girl, you should have a shoe that looks a little more like your dress at least in terms of the material..its a beautiful dress
If you like the shoes then you should wear them, because at the end of the day you are the only one that will be in your shoes. I am wearing patent leather champagne heels with feather shoe clips I made and obviously it is not the same material or anything like what my dress is made of.
Lola821- are you able to see the shoes in person? Believe me the most important thing is making sure they are comfortable (I know this first hand, my first wedding I wore high heels and I was limping by the night was over.) Oh and you also want them to be cute too! Let us know what happens. Good Luck
@ texaslawgirl - love those shoes! a good friend of mine sent me the link to them at uo when i was on my shoe hunt initially =D
I love those with the feathers. Wanty McWant, but to wear around this fall with some opaque tights. :p
When is the wedding, btw, cause that can influence your shoe choices.
LMAO @ Wanty McWant!!!!!!!!! I am ALWAYS saying things like that! My boyfriend will come home from work and I'll be like "I'm Hungry McSnackerson! lets get lunch!" or I'll see a purse at the mall and I'll say "Oh no! Now I'm Greedy McLoveIt..."
texaslawgirl- I want those peacock feather shoes bad... omg, I'm having shoe lust. What the hell was I thinking with my simple white peep toes. I must have those shoes.
I like the shoe per se, but I don't know whether it goes with the dress. It can also depend on what kind of jewelry you are wearing...if you're going for blue pieces, with similar kind of sparkly stone, then it could look very elegant and put toghether
Ooooo i want those flats with the feathers!!!! I see how it doesn't *go* with the dress but i'm in the "who gives a hoot" camp b/c I wore white leather resort sandals under my wedding gown. So it just depends if you plan on your feet being seen or not. I didn't really want all those pics of my feet so the only time you see my shoes is during the garter removal and it was just a minimal white sandal piece you saw
Shoes stay hidden under your gown so I think you can go with whatever you want. All of the shoes posted here are very pretty. I don't have enough fashion sense to know if they "go" with your dress. But if you like them, go with it. (And I'm all for wearing flats - once again, what does it matter if your legs are elongated - you will be wearing a floor length dress, no skin!)
dereksbride2b - I Actually already bought the shoes, I just cant decide if they really look right with the dress. My wedding is in the Spring, May. I am open to colors other then navy. The dress will be ivory so some sort of metallic may work. My biggest thing is that I really want flats.
Those shoes with the feathers are HOT! I'd go for those. They are fun and a lil more formal than the first ones. The first pair are really nice too but as the other girls said, the material is kinda muted.. or something like that! Lol. The shoes from the gap are perfect if you're just wearing jeans and a sweater cuz they're not too formal- I hope you pick the second pair!
northernaz-- Those feather shoes are on sale now for like 18 bucks. So theoretically, you could have both. Not that I'm shamelessly promoting my own pick or anything like that.
I love the ones that texaslawgirl posted from the Gap. they are simple and super classic, and they look really comfortable too.
I'm not sure that those shoes should be with that dress. I think a peep toe flat might look better.
I personally am not a fan of the original shoes with that dress either. I like the color but to me the jewel detail is out of proportion (too large) and I feel like it might draw too much attention downward if it is visible. I like shoes that are a little closer in style to the dress bodice so that it mirrors the top of the dress.
KaiLunKat- I was actually thinking today that maybe I should find something that complimented the bodice more I saw these two pairs and thought they may work better. What does everyone think of either of these with the dress.

I agree that the shoe looks a little too casual with your gorgeous gown! I don't know if its the oversized jewels, or the toe... something just doesn't quite fit! Again though, your dress is really pretty!
May I ask why you are choosing flats? I know, comfort, comfort... but in my experience leather (or other material) flats make my feet hurt way more than heels! Perhaps its because I've worn heels almost every day for the last 5 years.... lol but when the whole flat trend came out my feet died! The only comfy pair of flats I had were a really soft leather & it took a long time to wear them in. I wish someone could fill me in :S
I love the suggestions by texaslawgirl though! They're really cute & a little bit more dressy :)
If you are choosing between the ALDO shoes I think the Brindley are more flattering. Last time I was in Aldo they sold this fuzzy slip in inserts for you shoes and I would totally recommend them. I put them in all my heels, they are so comfy! I LOVE the shoes with the Peacock feathers suggested above - but I'm not sure how they would fit with your overall wedding.
I was really wanting flats so that I will be shorter then my soon to be husband at the wedding :)
