I have been searching for what seems like forever to find just exactly the right band to go with my 1.27 ct marquise solitaire. I have my mother’s diamond cluster engagement ring (seven diamonds, approx. .80 CTW) that I plan to harvest the diamonds out of to reset for some sort of band. (She passed away about 25 years ago and I’ve always wanted to use the stones to symbolically include her) Anyway, I have tried on probably 100+ (no joke) seven diamond wedding/anniversary bands, but couldn’t find anything that had some height that didn’t look scrawny next to my 4mm wide cathedral setting. But I happened upon this, and I am loving it! But I need opinions… And I’m an AW and want to show off my e-ring.
What do you think?
The band I found:

First off, i LOVE your ering! I also have a marquise solitaire, and think yours is exceptionally stunning 🙂
Have you tried that band on with your ring? Are you concerned with your two rings sitting flush? I love the wedding ring you picked out, just wondering how well the two will sit together, with the criss cross of gold up against the point of your diamond.
Any pics of the two together?

i like it! i think the zig zag would go really nice with the point in your marquis,, i agree with PP tho i would try them together but i do truly like it

Choosing a marquise means wedding bands are really difficult. I have a marquise stone and shape, and I’m sticking with just the one ring rather than two:

I agree with PP, both rings are beautiful and their shapes compliment each other. However, without actually seeing them together, it’s hard to say what they’ll look like as a pair.

Personally because of the shape of your e-ring, I would go with a simpler thinner band

@bells: Agreed. I find it to be a bit too chunky.

I love them both!! I say go for it…
