Ok so let me paint the scene. We are having our wedding in May on a Saturday at 3pm. Our colors are gray/silver and purple/fushia.

My dress has a little lace but not very much. I think the color is muted enough to not distract from me and the groom. And the MOH will be wearing a solid gray dress.

Here is a wedding with similar colors so you can visualize. But the guys will be in black.

    I need opinions please!

I think it's an adorable dress!  Plus I think that people could wear it again to another event because it's just a pretty dress.

I love the inspiration wedding.. what a great palette you have chosen! I like this dress.. the lace is beautiful. If it was my wedding, I may switch out the belt for something a little more bridal - or maybe, fuscia? Good luck!

I really like the dress.  I like the suggestion of maybe using a different belt for it though...the one on the dress looks a little like office attire or something.

I really like that dress! And I agree that it's something they can definitely wear again. I say go for it! If you want to add a little something, replace the belt with a sash like Arancia said above. I think this is awesome!

I guess I'm going against the majority opinion here, but I really dislike the dress.

That model probably in her early 20s, but that dress makes her look matronly.  Imagine how unflattering it would be on non-models!

That being said, the opinion you should really be seeking is your bridesmaids'.  Ask them if they like the dress.

    Thanks Everyone!

I thought the belt made is less bridesmaid-y too. But I'm not sure if the belt is removable. They don't carry the dress in-store so I have to order one and find out I guess. Also I'm hoping the lace isn't too big and busy in person...

    I found it at nordstroms.

I really, really like the material and color of the dress! However, I wouldn't personally want it for myself, because a neckline like that usually isn't very flattering to bigger busts. Sometimes cuts like that make me look like I'm wearing a potato sack, (and I'm only a D cup), since I have to buy it bigger to accommodate 'the ladies'. Even with a belt, it would still look like just a belted potato sack on me. Wink

Still really love it though, just something to think about if any of your ladies have larger busts, or not as defined waist lines.

okay so I voted no, but after looking at it a minute it's growing on me a little.  I think it's it's classy and cute, but I don't love the belt.  another reason why I initially said no is bc I think unless your bridesmaids are all on the thin side, I don't think this will look great on all body types... plus not everyone likes lace.  I personally love it, but I wouldn't want to force it on my girls if they didn't like it and the dress made them look lumpy lol

def poll your girls too, not a just bunch of random ones who won't be wearing it :)

@Cola & SugarSweetPink: I have 4 bridesmaids, 2 are tiny (size 0 and 2) that like the dress. One that is average size with NO boobs ;) and she LOVES the dress. And my lovely sister and MOH that is due to give birth to her 3rd child 3 months before my wedding, but she is will be wearing a different dress. She hates lace and wants a flattering dress for post baby, and I love the idea of her in a diff dress.

I think the dress is super cute!! Plus your bridesmaids can definitely wear it again which is so important. Trust me I have been in enough weddings to know that being able to wear the dress again is a HUGE PLUS!!!

I love it. I even love the belt, I think it's very classy looking, especially since it's a satin type fabric for the belt.

I think its super cute...like some of us said...just run it by your bridesmaids to see if they like it...I dont see why they wouldnt though! I agree that if you could change the belt i would...but if not its still cute!

It's not my style. So I said see comment below, because it will probably look good with everything all put together. Maybe something different for the sash?

Totally cute dress, but like some other posters have said, I don't love the belt.  I think it looks a little casual, but that is easily fixed by just using a sash instead.

no, it's too busy for a BM dress.  Go with solid colors.  I don't like the patterned look at all.  It would look much better if it was the same dress but in solid gray.

I like! I think that your idea of adding a pop color like the fuschia on the style me pretty pics is right on! That will really pull everything together nicely. I know someone mentioned belts above. Have you thought about changing to thich black belts? That might play off of the groomsmens black tuxes.

I also love the "dancing shoes" bucket of flip flops on the SMP site. What a fun idea!
