After choosing a $200 bridesmaid dress, and then rethinking based on a friend in financial turmoil, I went looking for a deal.
I found this. I love this dress. I showed it to my mom and she loves it. I showed it to my BMs and they loved it. My sister did express concern that it wouldn’t fit in the chest.
The awesome thing is, it’s on sale for $74 and my Fiance and I think we could afford to buy this for my 3 girls, instead of them paying!
What do you think of this dress?

Can you get your girls to try it on beforehand? What’s your backup plan in case they don’t fit? I personally really like them. I think they’re lovely for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses.

Hmmm, what is the formality of you wedding? Inside or outside?
If I was one of your bridesmaids, I would not be too excited about that dress. The cut tends to make the slim model look a little pregnant.

I personally think it is absolutely gorgeous and want one for myself !!!
Ps. is that your color? Becuase it’s gorgeous !

I think it is so cute! As a busty lady, yes there is a chance that it will be tight across the area (although if you size it accordingly you should be fine). The only concern I would have would be the cleavage factor. I would just say to be prepared that if you do have busty BMs that you may want to consider the fact that there may be a need for a camisole or some kind of coverage for any excessive cleavage. However, it is not a full plunging V-neck, so I think you should be safe to order these. I would definitely wear it!

I think it’s really pretty and a great color

I think it’s beautiful! Of course, body type will come in to play, but I’d go for it. Really, really prett,y and the color is gorgeous.

Also, kudos to you for thinking of your girls and their situations.

That’s the same dress Mrs.D’Orsay used (except hers were purple). Check out her post on it, is has three other examples of it being used in weddings. Very pretty.

- Wedding: May 2011 - Bartram's Garden
That looks like the same dress that Mrs. D’orsay’s girls wore.
I think it’s very flattering on all of them.

I think it is fun and flirty! Not too formal, not too cas! Win win! I would def talk more to your sister about the bust issue, see if you can order a size up & do [minimal hopefully] alterations? Or can she try it on somewhere to see?
I like it, but I would be concerned about her popping out/drowning in it (whichever the case may be).

@Bee-loved: It’s from nordstrom.com! They have shipping to Canada 🙂
@littlemissmoo: They can’t try it on because I have to order online 🙁 But, I can return them if they don’t fit!
It’s funny to think of my sister as busty… lol. She never was, but she’s breastfeeding now! Won’t be by the time the wedding rolls around though, so she’s a hard one to fit right now. She is fine with ordering a size up and having it altered, especially if I am paying for the dress 🙂
Thanks everyone for your comments!

I think it is a really pretty dress and I love the color but let me say this – as a bustly lady, I can promise you that the band that should run below your breasts on the dress would never go all the way over mine. It would just run right over the top of my boobs. I have real problems with dresses cut like this because I can never get them to fit right. So I’d definitely make sure that all your girls can try it on before you order them to make sure none of them have the same problem.
