I just wrote a similar post!  I am planning on getting my girls a leather clutch from jcrew with their first initial embossed. Mine aren’t has fancy and are the envelope style. So obviously I think you should go with the evening bag!  I figured it is something everyone needs for special occasion but may not necessarily want to buy themselves.

@BriansBride:  my girls are more tote bag people so I’m planning to get them each tote bags that fit each girl’s personality and fill them with fun stuff like beauty products. I think if your girls like purses I think it’s a great idea.

I don’t know how others feel about clutches, but to me, as cute as they are, they are the most useless kind of purse imaginable. Even for special occassions, they’re annoying as hell to have to lug around.

Oh no worries! Love the idea of warm robes too, I was in a NYE wedding and we were gvine satin robes, I froze my butt off!

I don’t really love that style. it’s way too fancy for me to ever really use… it makes me think of Prom. I think the concept behind it is really good however!! just not a fan of that clutch.

@BriansBride:  What about something more like a larger wristlet? I like the idea of clutches, but I do agree that that particular clutch looks a little prom-like to me. I would never use it again, but your girls have different taste than me! I will say that the one wedding I was in, the bride gave me and the MOH clutches, and both of ours broke before the night was over, so whatever you get, make sure it’s decent quality (but not too expensive!). What price are you looking at? I always enjoy looking for these things, maybe I could find some ideas for you!

@BriansBride:  I think those sound like lovely gift ideas!  I like the idea of filling the bag with goodies.

@BriansBride:  oh hey again girlie! its crazy crunch time, i’m feeling it! i got cute clutches from express after christmas for $7 each. i also ordered silky robes off of etsy for the girls, and faux fur shrugs from light in the box .com. Light in the box seems to have some good clutch options for cheap http://www.lightinthebox.com/bsps-fashion-simple-wedding-clutch-bag_p902357.html

While I don’t use clutches often, little wristlet bags I use all the time, especially inside my work bag, etc. And filling them with makeup is an awesome idea. Coach outlets are also usually under 20$ for wristlets.

How else is planning going chica?
