Personally I can’t stand peanut butter so your first cake doesn’t appeal. I think it’s great to be a little different and original with stuff like decorations, dress etc, but when it’s something that you are feeding to a lot of people, you may need to find something a bit more middle of the road.

I am a cake fiend! That being said, this looks good but really rich. I say go for it and have some less exciting flavor to accompany.

Milibee13:  They look de-LISH! And cookie dough frosting omg.. I may have to steal that idea! I’m making our wedding cake too! yay us! haha I’m known as the cake lady in both our families so when we realised we wanted something fairly simple we figured we’d save the $500 for something else! (an ice cream cart at the reception specifically 😉 )

These are my inspiration, i’ll most likely do three layers inside to make it nice and high.. might have to do a few test runs! yum! (to be honest I think my FI would much prefer your cake ideas as opposed to my girly ones haha)

That cake looks so delicious! I second some pps and say you’d need a less intense flavour as well to lighten it up a bit. Maybe the cupcakes can be lemon or vanilla?

If you do cakes on the side and you are comfortable go for it. Just bear in mind your potential stress levels around the time of the wedding… If you are certain that it won’t stress you out then go for it

Milibee13:  I can’t decide how I feel about those. How can it be cream cheese and cookie dough at the same time?
