My thought is… It’s gorgeous! I would rock that with pride.

Do you like your ring?  That is literally the only thing that matters in this situation.  Everyone has their own personal style and taste.  So what if your friend doesn’t like it, she’s not the one wearing it.

And for the record I think it’s very pretty.

As long as you love it who gives a flying popsicle what others think!

@Alisiaintherain:  I think it looks beautiful! I wonder if your friend was thinking that it looks dated because of the 3 stones? You see those in the 80s rings. BUT whatever, things go in and out and all that matters is that you love it!

I love it! Clusters and quad centers are hated by most on this board, but IRL I have received nothing but compliments on my quad center ring. Who cares what other people think? They aren’t paying for it or wearing it. If you and you FI love it, go for it!! I think it looks great 🙂

Edited: from what I can tell from your pic, that is not a cluster ring. It looks like a 3 stone with baguettes on the shank.

@Alisiaintherain:  is it a cluster? It doesn’t look like one in the pic. Anyway it’s pretty and very sparkly.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t consider that ring a cluster.  Isn’t it a three stone ring with an embelished band?

Anyways, I have no problem with clusters, I prefer them to quads simply because I do not like the square shape Princess cuts.

I second PPs. I don’t even think it’s really a “cluster.” Whatever it is, I think it is sparkly and beautiful! Good choice!

Your friend was being a dick. The ring is lovely. Ring trends are constantly changing, but this is a piece of jewelry you’ll have for the rest of your life, so don’t worry about what’s popular right now, just enjoy the ring you love.

@Alisiaintherain:  Yeah I wouldn’t say it’s a cluster either; it looks like a 3 stone with an embellished band or a wrap. Lovely ring though, and your friend is a twat; seriously, who says something like that?!
