I got my first flower quote from a florist recommended by some other Bees.
For all this:
1 bouquet (roses, peonies, and lisianthus) , 5 corsages (roses & lisianthus), 6 boutenniers (roses), 2 altar arrangements, and 6 cone pew decorations, I will be paying anything from $800 – $995.
Sounds good to me. What do you guys think? Can I do better? Or is that pretty average / reasonable?
Originally I thought about asking my MOH’s mom to do our arrangements but how often will I get to have pro’s to do it? Plus, I want to make the wedding as easy as possible for me and my closest friends and family.

that sounds a bit high to me, and centerpieces in that price? but I guess it depends on how big the alter arrangements are?

Yeah, that sounds a little high depending on the altar arrangements… but honestly, if you’re happy with their work, stick with it! 🙂

At first this sounded a little expensive, but I compared it to my floral quote. Based on my flower prices for the items that you are receiving, it would cost me $885, so I guess you are right on target.
Alter arrangements- 350
Pew Decorations- 150

I think it all depends on how big and intricate the designs are. But it sounds reasonable.

That’s a bit high but it depends on how elaborate all of this will be. I know that I am spending no more than $1750 on my reception floral decor and no more than $250 on my ceremony flora decor. As for wedding party $10 each for boutenniers and $30 each for bridemasmaids bouquet. My decorator is getting al my floral from the LA Floral District at really good prices though!

I’ve found that in addition to the complexity, pricing has a lot to do with where you are and when you’re getting married. Here in Miami (and a lot of metro areas) flowers, especially for a wedding can be pretty pricey… so your quote really doesn’t sound too shocking to me at least. Will you also have flowers for your bridesmaids (or are the corsages for them)?
I would have loved peonies in my bouquet, but considering they were out of season at the time… it would have been ridiculously expensive. So you’re a lucky girl! :o)

… Wow, I am completely out of the loop. I thought that sounded totally reasonable! Guess I need to go back to the drawing board on my florals!
