I'm just not crazy about the big color place on the back. I suppose it would be better white or ivory. I love the front!
Do you have a large chest? If so, I'm not sure this would be the best dress, because it looks like it's pretty low-cut. (This is my constant battle, so it's the first thing I noticed!)
I am with Lina. If you are having a religious wedding, I would be afraid the ta-ta's would be a bit distracting. If you are comfortable in it, then it is the right dress!!
I LOVE the back of it... especially the lace on the back. It has a really cool vintage feel. And heck, everyone will be looking at your back most of the ceremony. Maybe you will just distract the priest/rabbi/etc!! ;-)
I am plus size also.. pretty dress but the lace back has what I call bac fat potential .. hahaha anything that will show my back in an unflattering way is a no. The front seems like it would be very flattering
The dress is pretty I like that the dress looks traditional, and than BABAM theres this blast of color in the back.
I'll have to agree with most of the girls about this dress. The front of the dress is absolutely stunning and gorgeous! The back of the dress, especially the extreme color contrast, I'm not too crazy about, but if you're going to use a champagne or ivory inset, it might work. Sorry I can't be of more help. No matter what, it's going to be your dress, and if you love it, that's all that matters! :)
My only concern would be about "the girls" as well. But if you've tried it on and it fits you in the way you want it to fit you -- it's beautiful!
I'm boarderline plus size myself (plus size top/smaller bottom) and I know when I was trying on dresses, tops like the one in this picture was not very flattering. But, its like this, if you love the dress and you love the way it looks on, then what anyone else thinks does not matter. It is a lovely dress.
I think it depens on you. Of course the dress looks gorgeous on a size 4 model...they look good in anything! Have you tried the dress on? You are the one who ultimately needs to decide if this is the dress for you, as you are the only one who knows how it makes you feel or wether it is appropriate for your venue.
Good Luck!
I really love this dress.. it's so romantic and I love all the details... the bow, the lace back, the scallopped bottom. It is hard to tell without seeing a photo of you in it. Have you tried it on? If it's flattering, I say go for it!
The dress is beautiful! I agree with the rest of the girls that ivory will look great instead of brown color on the back. What I like the most is the lace back, it is a charming detail! Good luck with the rest of the planning!
As a fellow plus-size bride, the lace back gave me heart palpatations. I can't imagine that would be a very forgiving fabric for the not-so-toned...
i'm with miss crabcake on this one... i don't know if i'm too crazy about the back either. but maybe it's because it's such a huge contrast with the brown in that picture.
I think it is an absolutely unique and gorgeous dress. You should try it on and see how you feel in it!
Love the front, but I think the back is kind of weird...it may look really dated in a couple years too...but heck it's not my dress, get what YOU want!

What do you think of this wedding dress?
I'm a plus size bride that will be having a winter wedding.
Instead of the brown insert it will be either ivory or champange.
