It is a very beautiful dress, but I really think you should wait until you try the other one one after it is altered. You purchased it for a reason. I don’t understand why you are still looking?

I can picture how it should look once all of the alterations are done and it is more form fitting. I think you will look very beautiful in it. However, with that said, if it were me and those were the two choices, I would have gone for the second one; only because it looks more girly/princessy and I would keep it the same as it is if I had a smaller bust, but since I am bigger on top, I would move the flower to the waist/hip area.

I think your dress will look beautiful when it is done! Can you wait until then before you order the other one?

That being said, I really like the other dress too. I would remove the bow though.

I am not saying this to be mean, but I think that even if you purchase the other dress, you won’t think it will be perfect either. I think you should try the original dress on once it is altered with your accessories. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

It looks beautiful and simple. Maybe check out etsy to add some brooches or flowers or there is a local seamstress who can add details  you love.

I didn’t vote because I don’t know what to choose! The second one I think is beautiful but definitely needs to be much more fitted. I like the new one as well, and agree about taking the flower from the top and putting it at the waist. You can always dress it up with a sash, or catchy jewelry!

Once your original dress fits you (and it will!) it will look amazing on you ! Just wait and see and have faith and go with your original choice because you chose it for a reason ! If you do decide on the second dress, and remove the flower, add a really blingly brooch there in its place instead !

Your dress will fit after alterations!  The $330 dress is very pretty, but you risk being unhappy with it, as well as a lot of stress (possible exchanges and necessary alterations) leading up to August.  Perhaps you could add a corset back to the sample sale dress to help pull in the waist and add shape?

Dress 2 is beautiful but since you haven’t tried it on, there is a chance you may not like it when you put it on. I would say wait until next fitting to see how your original dress fits. It is so pretty!

I really like your original dress and agree with the other bees that once it fits perfectly, and you try on all of your accessories, you will have a better grasp of what the “whole picture” will look like. I too purchased my dress at a sample sale and it’s waay too big but I know that once it’s fitted, it will be perfect.. I really like the look of adding a champagne colored sash to an all-lace dress. Have you considered this? Or I have also seen a lot of really beautiful “belts” with stones and beading..what about this idea? I say trust your instincts…you never know about the quality of a dress that you only have a picture of…Best of luck in your decision making!
