HELP! I am in LOVE with the Maggie Sottero "Amour Royale" Dress. I found it at a boutique, and she is giving me 20% off if I get the floor model (it fit perfectly, like it was meant to be!) but a 1200 dollar dress is expensive! I love dresses as much as the next girl, but I was aiming for a little lower than that...there are too many other things to spend money on! Have you girls found any bargain sites that are reliable? I found this dress on topbridaldresses.com, and after reading some reviews, there is no way I am using them.
Better yet, does anyone HAVE this dress in a size 10 :) :) :)
PS What do you think???? Please excuse the lame iphone picture...
as it fits perfectly you wont be paying for alterations.. offer her $1K to begin with and work from there
beautiful dress
Seriously, that dress is gorgeous!! And it looks better on you than the model.
BUT if you are going to regret the purchase don't do it. Can you figure out a way to squeeze a bit of money out of the budget in other places- cheaper shoes, etc....
I think that's actually a very good price, given that it is a Maggie...AND it's beautiful....AND you look amazing in it...AND it doesn't need alterations.... :)
If you're in love with it and you feel all bridal and beautiful... get it, love.
definitely, you only get married once- get the dress you want!
it's gorgeous, if you can afford it and it makes you feel fantastic.. then get it.
oh you look soo great in it!
if you really love it and it fits, that's great!
Alterations can get really pricey. I'm really petite and I pay so much every year just altering clothes.
best of luck!
uhhh i knowwwwwwwww what you are thinking...
but you cant put a price on beautiful. magical. fabulous. on your wedding day esp!
i want to tell you to shop around but i love you in this dress. i agree though with eloping-bargain a little if its a floor model.
i wish i had a size 10 for you thats as fab as this dress. fortunately for you i dont. :-)

It's very beautiful on you! If you love it and you feel amazing in it, get it.
If you can find it in your budget--I'd say get it. It looks fan-tastic on you! Maybe you can cut some corners in other places to make up the difference?
It sound like you should really get it. And I saw it on you and was like WOW, beautiful, then I saw it on the model and didn't like it as much. It looks SOOO much better on you than the model. And yeah, you wont be paying for alteration probably, so there is some money saved that you can put toward the dress. Find some ways to cut back on things to get that beautiful dress. I mean, you are in love with it! GET IT!!!! That's my vote!
okay so i totally gasped when i saw your dress. i LOVE.IT.!! go for it!!! and then sell it afterwards ;)

My budget for my dress was $1,000, and I ended up paying a little more than that for my Maggie Sottero dress because it was so perfect. I love that dress, and it looks fabulous on you! I think you should get it for sure.
Is it $1,200 AFTER the 20% off, though? That does seem a bit pricy for Maggie dresses. I suggest you call other bridal shops and see if they can get you the dress for a better price.
beauuuuuuutiful!!!! I was trying to find a dress for about $1000, but I ended up falling in love with one that is $1500...and I just had to make it work...
oh, and you can always ask them to throw in a veil, clutch, jewellery ect if they cant come down in price as much as you would like so you can get a bargin that way too
Might want to talk to the store manager... Some stores will actually lower up to $100-500 more than what they tell you on SAMPLE wedding dresses...
Note: depends how much it is...
Good Luck.
If it fits like a glove and a good price? Heck go with it! You wouldn't need to do many alterations.
I think its GORGEOUS, but I can't fathom spending $1200 bucks on a dress. I mean, don't get me wrong- I know that is a fairly reasonable price for a dress these days, but I'm kinda overwhelmed by spending that much money on a dress. Is your original budget even close? It is beautiful on you. If your original budget is within 200-300 dollars, I would say go for it. If you were planning on getting a dress for say, $500 or so, I would keep looking. It sounds like you may not be completely sold yet. It is fabulous though!
haha, I love the last option PinkChampagne. I do wish I had it sitting in my closet, wiating for you!
You HAVE to get this gown!!! It is totally the dress for you and you look way better than the model in this dress!! And....the best part is that you won't have to have any alterations done which could be another couple hundred dollars!!!
Definitely negotiate the price with the bridal salon manager!!! They will usually always do something to make the sale. I bought my gown in Chicago and they were offering it for $1295 and came down to $785 with free alterations! Seriously, it was amazing!!!
If you totally can't afford this gown, check out preownedweddingdresses.com (I've heard great things) or oncewed.com (I'm not as sure about this site).
Good luck!!!! You look amazing!!!
Here is another option for you...its a sottero and midgley which is part of maggie sottero....its a similar style and it is only $899...the style number is SSM5231
Alisha
Gorgeous dress. If you love it, get it. I think if you don't get it you'll always have the case of 'what if.'
That is a good price for that dress. It has so much detail on it! AND it fits you. Honey, I went to Alfred Angelo and got my discount dress for $540. The alterations cost $425!!!!! WTF?!?!?!
If that dress fits you like a dream off the rack buy it and run. You look great in it and it is original.
Congratulations!
The dress is GORGEOUS.
Try Netbride.com. If they sell Maggie, get it through them. I bought my Watters wedding dress and BM dresses and they came in almost two months early in perfect condition. They were an absolute dream to work with.
GL!
I love the dress on you! Try to find it cheaper somewhere else. I got my sample Maggie dress 50% off.. So I would shop around and if you can't find it anywhere for cheaper and they won't go any lower.. just get it. I think you would regret it if you didn't.
The dress is flattering on you, I like it, and it looks more expensive than $1200. Look around one more day maybe, but if you don't fall in love with anything else, scoop that up!
i love the dress and it looks amazing on you! If i were you i would totally go for it! it's your wedding day, splurge a little!
I fell in love with a similar maggie - it had a similar corset top as to yours!!!
Love love loved it! I say go for it! You only get married once!!!!! *fingers crossed*
