My FI bought me a gold band for original engagement ring and had it rhodium plated because I’ve never been a “gold” girl. I’ve always like silver or mainly white gold. So when he gave me the engagement ring he told me that he wanted to buy me a new band, and a new setting (different style) if that’s what I wanted. So….I have found something that I think is absolutely gorgeous and want to know which one you like better. I’m not going to tell you which one I like better 🙂 haha The diamond from my first ring will go into the new setting.
Thanks for the input! 🙂
with this band:
So tell me what you think! 🙂

The first is pretty, but I honestly prefer the second choice. I just like the simpler stuff. Less fussy.

I have a simple wedding band and it’s nice because I can wear it even when I’m doing something, like kayaking, where I wouldn’t want to wear my engagement ring.

I LOVEEE the first one. It’s beautiful!

I like them both, but I like the first one. It’s unique and I like the way they fit together. The only concern with that is if you want to wear the band without the ering at all make sure it looks good on your finger and that you like it without the ering. My rings are sort of like that and I don’t think my band looks all that great without the ering on.

I love the first setting. The second one is too plain for me.

@Elarissa: Very good point. And I’m going to nursing school so that is something that I need to consider since I’ll be wearing gloves and such ALOT! Thanks!!!

I totally agree with Elarissa! I’ve been on a hunt to find a band that will go with my ering but also look great on its own. If you want that option make sure you decide how you feel about the wearing the band in option #1 and #2 by themselves. That may help make the decision for you. Both options are beautiful though!

I prefer the second choice with the plain band. The first one is beautiful & unique, but there’s just something about a solitare that’s just so classy imo- I wish I had one 🙂
Post # 11
I really like the first one.

I prefer choice 2 because of Elarissa’s point.

Definitely choice #2! I love the simple elegance of this set. It’s so lovely and timeless.

I love the first and second choice! you can’t go wrong with either one. I have a single solitaire round cut diamond ring with the razor edge band. I will be getting the same kind of band to match when i get married. I love simple and classy. The first choice is beautiful too! it just depends on what you want.

@heatherleah: would you mind posting a pic of your ring? Sorry, just would like to see it! Sounds gorgeous!!!

Your keystone (main diamond) disappears in the first setting. I like #2 because I like the prominence of the stone and the simplicity, then again my style is simple and classic.
