It isn’t my personal style, but I do think it is really cute. We are looking for less of a dining set and more of a lounging set. If we were looking for a dining set I would definitely consider it.
I think it looks nice but might not be super comfortable.
I agree with a PP. Cute, but it doesn’t look comfortable. When my SO and I were shopping for dining patio sets, I always asked myself if I would be able to sit in the same spot for hours having drinks with friends and/or family.
Nooooo. I cannot stand tables that are not solid. Eating or drinking over it is just dangerous. Condensation off cold cups on a hot day? Water on your pants. Accidentally drop salad dressing? Guess where it’s landing. Spill anything, soaked lap… you get the idea.. 🙂
I don’t like it very much
The chairs kind of scare me. lol. I wouldnt want to sit in them.
I am old and into convenience. Honeycomb furniture like this is very easy to maintain because the dirt and debris of outdoor plants falls through the weave. A glass topped table would make me razy, it always looks dirty.
Honeycomb is also classic material. It is sturdy. And when it becomes faded and weather worn, it is easy to freshon up with spray paint.
I will tell you that the cheap Honeycomb crap sold in Lowe’s and places like that isn’t nearly as good as the same pieces sold inexpensively 20+ years ago. We have a large patio and have several sets in honeycomb materials and the vintage ones are sturdier. I chased down older sets on Craigslist and was surprised at how quickly they sold out from under me.
But that said, we still have one set from Lowe’s and it is Ok.
Of course, being into convenience as I am, I would toss out those cushions in a New York minute. Yeah, I could write an essay about the stupidity of outdoor cushions, the dirt they collect, half the time they are wet from rain or dew (unless you go around and pick them up–what a chore.)
Honeycomb chairs come in several styles and those look comfortable to me. But then, you can tell from this essay that I LOVE honeycomb!
