So after listening to countless possible aisle songs, I was searching and came across the idea of walking down the aisle to Etta James: At Last 🙂 I wanted to kind of do something more non-traditional anyway, something memorable, and something that truly meant something to me.
I found the song, sang by Beyonce, and it is so beautiful.
Do you think that it’s a good choice? I know everyone’s preferences are different, but I really do think I am set on this song.
Also, what more modern slow love songs could we play for the bridal party entrance, the processional or whatever its called? I thought about You and Me by Lifehouse, but I’m not quite sure. Any ideas for that? 🙂

My best friend had the original version as her first dance and it was beautiful 🙂

I walked down to the aisle to “At Last” (Etta James) and I think it was perfect. Just make sure you wait through the intro (just a few notes) before you start walking. I went a little early…wish I would have walked out right at the “AAaaaaat lllaaaaaassstttt…” Nothing like Etta James’ version.

Darling Husband and I used that song for our first dance and loved it. 🙂

@BackyardLoveBird: awe 🙂 Yeah, I wanted the doors to open right before the “at last” part 🙂 then, start walking. ahhh, I’m so excited. I love Beyonce, so that’s why I’m going with her cover. But I do love the song and think the lyrics fit perectly. I was listening to it with my Fiance, explaining when the doors would open, etc. and we both started crying. LOL So we’ll see how well we keep it together the day of :p

At Last is actually one of, if not the most, popular song for weddings, so it should be a safe choice.

@KatyElle: awesome 🙂 I’ve never actually heard it played around where I live, but I’m excited about it. I think it will be a surprise to most, but at least it’s nothing too crazy. lol

@agirlwithdreams7: Beyonce rocks that song; love it. I’ve been stuck listening to instrumentals that I can’t imagine walking down to a song with lyrics; but again, its what we are limited to.
That song is a classic, what if you used just the instrumental? I’m sure people will be humming along to it as you walk down. Just a thought! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYiZEniCCFg

@CupCakeMeg: ohh I know she does! I love her version. 🙂 And I’m not limited to what we use, so I’m going with the one with the words. lol The instrumental is really pretty! but the one I picked and have on a cd really makes me cry LOL well, not like sob, but brings tears to my eyes, the lyrics mean a lot 🙂
