@daffodil89:  I use it as a body moisturiser! AMAZING! I also make a honey & coconut oil hair treatment that makes it feel so silky and soft afterwards 🙂

@daffodil89:  I use it for my hair. It is super amazing. Best for curly hair types though that tend to be a bit dry. If you have straight hair, a hot oil treatment with coconut oil is probably better. It is also good for your skin.

Yep I use it as a body butter 🙂

1 tbsp of coconut oil + 1 tbsp of honey, put in microwave for 20 seconds to melt and add 2 tbsp of cold water. Mix together with a fork or spoon & make sure it’s not too hot – just warm so you don’t damage your hair with hot oil! Then apply to your hair and leave it on for about 30 minutes. Have a shower, shampoo and condition as normal & voila!!

@daffodil89:  I’ve used it in my hair before but it just makes such a mess when I try to rinse it out, I don’t even bother anymore. It does work pretty well as a makeup remover too, but again, the oily mess it makes it almost not worth it.

I use it daily 🙂

As a body moisturizer, combined with sugar for a lip scrub, and every other week for a hot oil hair treatment.

@daffodil89:  I use it for everything you use veggie oil for (frying).

@daffodil89:  I use it to take off my water proof mascara!

@MsRicky:  what kind of hair do you have?  I don’t want my fine, thin hair getting greasy and weighed down, but my ends get dry in winter.

@springweddingbee:  you said body butter, but is that recipe for hair?

i love this thread!  My sister does the lip scrub thing, but adds peppermint oil for a great taste and scent!

Mostly for cooking. If you’re frying/sauteeing with veggie oils, ESPECIALLY olive oil, stop right now and switch to coconut oil. Olive oil is toxic at high heats and coconut oil is a perfect cooking substitution.

I thought you could only use it for cooking? i have the biggest urge to go grab our jar out of the kitchen and start using it for all these other things!
