I don’t really use anything on my hair (shampoo everyday, towel dry), but I do get 5-6 inches cut off a couple of times a year.

I don’t really have any advice but good for you! If I did what you’re doing, my hair would be a very mousy colour as well. I would never be able to just wash my hair once a week (I wish!). My hair gets greasy so quickly lol

Soon2bmarried123: My hair used to grow really slowly when I was styling/dyeing it, but when I stopped it started growing like crazy (I also started taking a daily multivitamin). I’m terrible at doing hair, so styling just isn’t an option for me lol.

I have wavy/slightly curly hair. I’m also on the more natural way of hair care! I’ve posted this in another board, but I don’t use shampoo and conditioner. I use a baking soda and water mixture to wash my hair every few days and a vinegar water mixture to condition. It is AMAZING. It makes my hair way less greasy than it ever was before. My hair is also softer and curlier now. I get a lot of compliments. For styling, I use a curl mouse as a base and then a curl spray gel. I finish witha diffuser, but leave it 30% wet to natural dry. I am still experimenting with curl products, and I am always on the lookout for options!

Soon2bmarried123: The transition will be the worst part. I tried ombre on my hair with the intention of eventually going all (or mostly) natural. It did not turn out but I would love to give it another try. Maybe not ombre again. I find the best ombre looks are the ones that just kind of happen!

Soon2bmarried123: The Kirkland brand one from Costco, but I would imagine any daily multivitamin would work.

Soon2bmarried123: I only wash my hair once a week, and it’s never been healthier! I have baby fine hair so it took some training, but I can go at least a week and my hair looks nothing but healthy. Not greasy, snarled, nothin. 🙂 I also have natural waves I’ve learned to love so I don’t straighten it, and since my hair naturally dries in about 10 minutes I don’t need to blow dry.

When I do wash my hair, I use John Frieda volumizing shampoo. Also, every other week I add a VERY tiny drop of evoo in with my conditioner and leave it for an extra 3 minutes or so.

I’m also 31 weeks pregnant and take a prenatal vitamin, which I know has helped immensely. I took it before I was pregnant even and you’d be amazed what they do to help your hair and nails. The difference is night and day.

Ahh I need some of the mica powder or whatnot :p I’m in day three of not washing & my hair feels gross! Though it used to feel that way in day two so I guess a bit better? Lol. I need some natural shampoo as well, I have curly / wavy hair with a ton of frizz from previous damage but I’ve been treating it better. I went from straightening it every other day to once every 1-2 months :-). The bottom/back of my hair feels amazing, & the curls are more defined. I hope the rest of my hair follows suit!

I will get a couple of inches cut off hopefully later this month, so I’ll probably try a whole bunch of suggestions from here. Can’t wait 🙂

but for now I use generic drug store shampoo & conditioner, as well as gel/ styling wax to control some of the frizz.

Soon2bmarried123: Oh that pic is SO nice. The problem I had with my ombre was that I previously had blonde on top and dark underneath so my stylist needed to lighten the bottom and darken the top. It was a risky move. It turned out bad. My old dark underneath was orange! I waited as long as I could and I got her to go all dark. I have since gone back to the blonde on top and dark underneath. If I want to try it again, I will need to let my hair go for like a year without doing ANYTHING to it! I have to eventually stop colouring it though :S

I would love to see a pic!
