DH asked me what I wanted, and I realized that I had no idea! I (not so) jokingly said “a baby” (we are planning TTC in the summer), but thats all I could really come up with.
I’m Jewish, so x-mas has been something I started participating in with my ex bf and now DH. Every year I f feel awkward telling his family what I would like (his family would rather spend the money on something that they know their recipient wants vs guessing on gifts). It also doesn’t really help that my birthday is on the 22nd, which makes it a bit more awkward for me.
Maybe its just me, but I have no idea what I want! I’d love some thoughts of things you have been wanting to receive and/or things you have been wanting to buy yourself!

ADiamondInTheRough: Um you are lucky – my inlaws get us whatever THEY would like instead of what we would actually like 😉
That being said, I asked for a northface puffer jacket from DW and starbucks giftcards from everyone else 🙂

I want house stuff since we close on our first place in 17 days. I’m likely getting a vacuum cleaner, and I’m okay with that.

I’ve definitely joked that I want a baby for xmas, especially since intend to TTC beginning in late January. Realistically, I’ve asked for a wine rack, a couple books, something sparkly from Swarovski.
Hilariously, most of my family requests Christmas lists from each-other every year and then gifts us something not on the list anyway. We’re always very blessed with lovely gifts regardless.

I want a concrete slab under our pergola in the back. I’m sure I’m getting it at some point. We will do a DIY slab which may be fun for my children.

Usually i ask for house stuff, but we’re getting married in feb, and would get those anyways. So Im thinking more bathstuff, perfume, a clotch or other accessories.

I’m getting married in June and moving into a house in two weeks….I really want a vacuum! Hahaha. I was shopping with a friend and I saw the vacuum section. FI told my friend “that’s her new thing” and my friend responded “Why? Omg, you’re so old!” Haha. Truth is, I never thought I would like shopping for stuff like that. Now I understand why my mom found it so exciting. 😛

FutureMrsKHBD: yes! I asked for a swiffer wet jet and a scone pan too, and I’m honestly excited about making FI’s breakfast some weekend morning.

I want a new camera to take on our trip in January… It is expensive, so I’m asking for contributions towards it. 🙂 I will buy it for myself either way, but if others chip in I can justify an extra lens or two!

I really don’tr want anything. I am moving to Florida in 3 weeks and have to consolidate two hoouses into one, so I have to give stuff away. I.m going to gift a lot of my stuff to the local thrift shops.
What I wish I could have, but probbaly won’t be able to afford for a couple of years is to be able to have dear FI dress up as Santa (we bought him a professional Santa Costume for Xmas – he’s an actor….lol) and to go out with me handing out food, toys, and clothing to the homeless in our area.

I don’t really want anything. Money toward my wedding? Fiance gets me jewelry every year. He has a great eye! But I told him no jewelry this year because I want to go on a honeymoon. He probably won’t listen. My parents have cut way down on what they get my sisters and I, and instead they get a ton of stuff for the kids. They have 2 son in laws now and 5 grandkids. Our family just doesn’t stop growing 🙂

xstitchbride425: That’s AWESOME! Haha! I REALLY want a Dyson, but that’s a long shot. I found a Shark that I want, instead.

I want fur lined moccasin slippers from LL Bean so my feet will be toasty and warm all winter 🙂

A ring. 🙂
There are a bunch of little things that I want, nothing really notable though.

I’m with PP on this, we are trying to get rid of some of the “stuff” we have, so I’d like experiences (MIL is going to let us use some of their airline miles to take a trip in 2015) or stuff to help us finish our house renovation before we move (someone to pay for carpet for the small downstairs bedroom, or an IKEA gift card for cabinets, or home depot gift cards for supplies).
I’m trying to think of more tangible items because my sister will probably spend $20, so she won’t want to get a gift card.
