A few things we do together on weekends:
- Play video games!
- Go on an easy hike to waterfalls or lookouts in our area.
- Go to the beach, swim a little, get an icecream and walk around the shops.
- Cheap movies at the budget cinemas.

We play video games together. We look for funny ones that are good for couples to play. It helps build communication and teamwork. Plus, it’s usually hilarious. We still get to “veg out” on the couch but we’re still actively doing something together and having fun.

We play video games together, watch our favorite shows, go on hikes, go camping, visit new (or old favorite) breweries, find little mountain towns to explore, take a walk around the neighborhood.

I needed this thread! It’s awesome to look though all the ideas!
– We visit our godson!
– Take our dog to the dogpark and get coffees
– Tonight we decided to walk to a diner and get milkshakes for dinner 😉
– I told my husband when I start going stir-crazy and look at flights all night, then he needs to bring me to a bookstore and let me brose for a few hours
– We read books together, right now we’re reading American Gods
– Sit on pinterest and look at recipes
– Sit side-by-side on Reddit and show each other funny or interesting links. Similarly, I do this with non-fiction books and will happily read out fun facts to him all evening
I still have plans to call him when I’m close to our place, and tell him we’re going for a long drive, and have the windows down and music loud for a few hours. I’m usually too tired and hungry by the time I’m almost home from work though 😉

Hiking, trail running, walking or running with our dog, going to a local bar in the early evening before it’s busy and playing darts or pool, board games, trying a new recipes. We’re really active so honestly hiking and running take up most of our weekends.

We like to go out to and try different ethnic foods, go to breweries, vineyards. We love to go to the movies. We go to Starbucks a lot, or other random coffee shops. We also like to pick random towns that we’ve never been to and do mini road trips, or just go on long random drives. We’re tv/movie junkies so we watch shows and stuff together. We recently started listening to audio books and/or podcasts together, which is nice because it gives us interesting things to talk about.
We’ve been in Michigan for about nine months and will be here for at least another few months, but once we get back to CT. (Where all our friends are) then we’ll meet up with friends a few times a month. We either go to the bar or have a game night at our house or someone else’s.

We cook together almost every night. He loves to grill and I’m slowly teaching him how to cook, it’s a lot of fun and he’s getting pretty good! We like to go on walks to the farmer’s market to get local fruits and veggies and on Saturday mornings we get sticky buns and smoothies there.
We do yardwork together in the summer. We bought a house that has a raised garden that is currently filled with rocks but we plan to turn it into a veggie garden. So that will be something fun to do together.
Honestly, this time of year we like to sit on our patio, drink some cocktail, listen to music, and just talk about our days 🙂 We have a jacuzzi tub so we take relaxing baths together with bath bombs are drink wine.
We like to travel, we went to New Orleans a few months ago and in October we are going to LA for a week, also the beach in July.
We just went to a concert and plan to do another in August. Also want to go the zoo this summer.

princessbeec : We’re in the same boat walk wise.
I’d definitely recommend games! We have some simple card games that we’ll do between other things or while there’s a sports game on TV. We also have more involved ones for games nights (either with other couples or just us two). It seemed silly to play games when we first started, but we both love it now.
