Uneek makes really great halo rings where the stone is lifted leaving the under part of the ring flat so that the wedding band will fit flush underneath of it. This is great because it gives you more options for your wedding band: you can combine yours to match your FI or pick one that is particular to your taste and avoid getting a band that fits at an angle or one that is contour to the e-ring. My honey got mine at Smyth in Baltimore (where we met and it is Baltimore based).
I have a halo and got curved bands. I got them all soldered together.
Don't let anyone talk you out of what you want! I'll try and find a pic of it on my hand. I got mine from Shane Company - shaneco.com
This was before I got it soldered and sized so it was tight! If you are doing a thicker ring you'll need to size it up.
It depends on how you have the halo designed. Mine fits with a plain band right under it. If you look at the second picture, you can see that the basket for the halo doesn't rise out of the band until the full thickness of the band (about 2mm) is cleared. That way a 2mm deep wedding band also fits right under it as well. You should be able to have any shape halo designed like that. Going custom would also be much cheaper than Winston.

Sorry I don't know why that posted three times and the pics didn't come up! Any body can tell me how to delete posts??!
I have a cushion cut halo and I love it! My band fits right under the the halo and sits flush with the band of the engagement ring. This isn't a great picture, but it's the only one I have of both rings together.
Wow you all have such beautiful rings! Thank you so much for showing me photos. Halos look great with wedding bands! Those jewellers don't know what they're talking about! This has really reassured me.
HW is way out of our price range so if I choose a halo, I will have one custom made, or order online from the US. I live in Australia and have only found one jeweller that makes a halo ring, but the style was quite chunky and didn't suit my small hand.
I'm nervous about doing this as I haven't actually tried on a cushion halo and wedding band and made 100% sure that the style suits me. Will have to keep thinking about it. Thanks again girls!
@ls18 - - I also like super delicate looking rings. I am a petite gal w/ petite hands. I agree that there are several halo settings that often look chunky or bulky. Even though they may look chunky or bulky online when you go to stores try to have an open mind and try everything on. Halos and non halos, honestly!!! You might end up liking something thats completely different.... And if its a halo that has captured your heart I suggest a bezel set halo setting. They're very delicate as the center diamon sits flush with the halo - here is a page of examples of all sorts of bezel set halos - GOOD LUCK
Its gorgeous!!!! My boyfriend and I are looking like crazy a ring like that and still havent found it , can I ask you if its costum made?

Hey gang,
SO and I are ring shopping and I'm finding it really difficult to decide what I want.
I love cushion cut halo settings, but have not been able to find one I like to try on - they all look too chunky on my small hand and I like really thin, delicate rings. i like the Harry Winston ring but can't find anything like it (I live in Australia and there's no HW here).
Lots of jewellers have tried to talk me out of the halo because they say it doesn't look good with a wedding band. Is this true? I'm suspicious that the jewellers are just trying to sell me the settings that they do have in stock. I can't find any pictures online of halo e-rings with wedding bands.
Does anyone have pics of their halo setting with a wedding band on their hand, or know anything about this? I don't neccessarily need a wedding band to sit flush, I quite like gaps between the e-ring and wedding band.
Thank-you!
