It 'bumps' a thread to the top of the stream. If no one has commented or if a user wants more answers, they bump it so it is at the top again..since those posts are the most seen
When it falls off the first page, some people will "bump" them to get them back to the top and get more responses.

I have seen "bump" written on several posts and would just like to know what it means??
