After 8 years, I traded in my '01 Eclipse and bought an '07 Outlander. I cried when I gave them the keys to my old girl but am loving the new car so far. It's important to be comfy when you drive in Los Angeles :)
Just cursious, what's everyone else driving?
I drive a '03 Toyota Corolla, but my fiance drives a '01 Eclipse! He loves it!
**sniff, sniff** i miss my old eclipse. i moved out from florida in her. tell him to be good to his :)
Haha. He is. It has no A/C (in Florida!), no radio, and the dashboard is cracked in a dozen places, but I dont know if he'll ever get rid of her!
I drive an '08 BMW x5 and my husband drives an Audi A4 from sometime. LOL Not sure what year, but it was mine before I got my x5.
I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Its big and it guzzles gas, but it tows the boat and gets us safely across the mountains. Does great in sand and snow.
I drive a '93 Nissan Altima POS, but I am hoping to get a 2005-2009 Mustang in the next year or so.
Most of the time I drive my 09' Eclipse (yay for us Eclipse girls!). Before that I actually had an 08' Eclipse but I wrecked it and actually fipped into a pond and had to swim out
haha I was pretty lucky, but my car was underwater for about an hour before anyone could try to tow it out so yeah I just got a new one after that.
Lots of Eclipses!
I cannot believe that happened to your HoneyBunny. Glad you made it out ok!
2005 Jetta here ... with brand new freaking $500 breaks ... ugh!! I want a new car, but that's not happening anytime soon after paying that
I have a 2005 Mustang. I love it and cant wait for my loan to be paid off next October! Thank gosh for fixed interest rate :)
'09 BMW 328i Coupe. One of the perks of working for a dealership is BMW's employee leases! FI drives an '05 Nissan Xterra--perfect for trips to the mountains or Home Depot!
I live in the city and I don't have a car! I love it!
Since age 16: beater Volvo, beater Volvo, Jeep Cherokee
Currently: '93 Volvo sedan with 285000+ miles (AKA beater Volvo)
Soon: Mazda 3
Eventually: Subaru Forester :)
A 2008 Mustang Coupe. It was the best deal we could get, since FI insisted that I have a car when I got back in town. It's cool looking, but kind of a nightmare to park, since I can't see over the dashboard since the seats are so low.
1998 Civic LX (his name is Kermit), it was free from my grandma when she got a new car. I paid it forward and gave my old '93 civic to one of my cousins that just got his license. Can't wait for a nice, new car, but the hubby says it won't be until we have kids since we just got a house all our money went towards that.
'07 Lexus ES (though I'm not huge on it, LOVED my '97 Lexus ES from back in high school, but this new lexus just isn't what I hoped for- has some weird issues) and FI drives a BMW 325i (I think it's an '07?...). I considered a Lexus IS at the end of the year, but the steering is just too sensitive- I actually think I prefer the stiff steering on the BMW now! I think i'm going to the darkside, especially after Lexus got rid of a lot of the gorgeous wood interior in there cars (my Mom's '08 Lexus ES has nowhere near the good interior that my old '97 had!) Oh well
2004 Ford Explorer... Love it! It has 8 seats and I can haul my son, F-FH's kids, and all nieces and nephews lol!
I have an '04 Honda Civic Coupe that I LOOOOOOVE. Unfortunately it is currently living in NY at my parents while I am in CA (we haven't shipped it out yet). So, in the meantime, I drive my FI's '06 Honda Accord Coupe that I tolerate
white Audi A3. I don't think I can ever drive an SUV after this car because it's SO much fun to drive that I almost don't mind when I have a half hour commute... almost. It's the first car I've ever had that I saw as entertainment and not just a way to get from place to place.
Oh, I had a new, '98 eclipse in college - & I LOVED that car! Traded it in for a lime green VW Beetle (which I also loved!), then we had a Nissan Xterra, now we have a 2008 Volvo xc90...it is by far m favorite of the bunch!
2005 Subaru Outback wagon. It's...not exactly sexy but it gets good gas mileage, does well in the snow and was affordable.
Its so funny. I read all these people who drive foreign cars and then I realize oh yeah not everyone lives in Detroit lol. We share both our trucks. One is our little hillbilly monster truck. Its a 91 Dakota with huge tires and mirrors and everything. More for our off roading but I loveeee driving it! And then we have a 2005 Dodge Ram. After the Ram is paid off, we are definitely getting a car again. I had a Cobalt up until last Feburary when my lease ended and boy do I miss the gas milage on that compared to our 12 mpg on both trucks!
We just "went green" and sold my car...now we are both sharing FI's 2007 VW Jetta (wolffsmer edition). I don't drive to work and we are being better about sharing the car on free weekends.
i don't have a car since I live in Manhattan, but before I moved here I drove a Toyota Solara (5 years ago!)
Future Mrs M- my Dad has a couple of Dodge Ram's for our business, the huge quad cab giant diesal things, and he LOVES them! But they scare me to drive, especially with trailors on the back
That's like 24 feet of stuff-I-could-hit-another-car-with!
2000 Toyota 4Runner. It's got over 130000 miles on it and still runs like new!
i love my sporty scion tc ("tiny car" as i call her) the back seats fold flat and since its a hatch, i can't tell you the crazy things I've fit into it! But will be getting a 4-door for the upcoming new family member. I want a crossover so will watch all of your posts and see what is popular among the bees!
i 1999 Honda Accord. Got it as a recovered salvage vehicle in 2001 with 7200 miles, and now it's almost at 110,000 miles! I love it and will probably drive it until it dies, or until we need more cargo room. Next car will probably be a Subaru Forester, since I am in upstate NY and winters can be bad.
No matter what, it HAS to be a manual transmission and it HAS to have a sunroof!
