    @Jess1483:  It’s 1/3 of entrance fees meaning that if you earn 700 bucks on entrance fees 1/3 of that goes to them.

    Had you worded it 1/3 of entrace fees after all other expenses have been deducted, it would be different.

    We do a toys for tots poker run every year, with the proceeds going to toys for tots [also, each rider brings a toy to donate].

    The money that we donate is whats left after all expensive are paid.

    @Jess1483:  “proceeds from…” = entrance fee less the expenses. If it said “1/3 of your enterance fee… ” THAT would mean 1/3 of the total.

    @Jess1483:  The proceeds from the entrance fees are all the money that is paid for entrance fees. If you are making money in other ways at the same event, (the proceeds from the bar, the proceeds from the raffle etc) that money is not counted towards the donation.

    If the entrance fees are the only source of revenue, someone should have been more careful with their choice of wording. “1/3 of the profit will be donated to…”
