I’ve found that what peoples charts look like during AF is so different!  I don’t temp during AF because I temp vaginally (yuck! lol).  I know for me, my temps will start dropping a day or 2 before AF, but for many ladies it won’t drop until mid way through or even after AF.  I don’t think there is a “should” look for temps during AF.

I didn’t start temping until I’d been taking Met for 4 months already, but here are my charts:  http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2fd143

My temp drops right before and day of AF starting and then goes up day 2 but this doesn’t surprise me as I get major cramps and my body is working hard and probably feverish. After the bad cramp day, my temp goes down again over the last 2 days of AF until it’s sitting right around my usual pre-O temps where it stays until my O dip.

I honestly don’t always temp during AF (I temp orally, so sometimes I do). I’m less militant about it and give myself a break usually because I feel like they are wonky anyway due to body stress. I just go back to temping after AF is gone. But I wouldn’t say that there should be a pattern or specific trend during AF across the board for women, everyone is probably different during that time.

I have read to not bother charting during AF. They can fluctuate so much during that time, so I just start temping when AF is finished.
