Happy Saturday, everybody!
It's a cold and snowy day here in Colorado. Needless to say, I am bored and of course cruising weddingbee to cure my boredom.
So, out of curiousity, and because I'm nosy, What does your fiance do?
My fiance is a police officer.
Captain in the U.S. Army
Soon to be my Suzy Homemaker, though....hopefully he can get a job as a strength engineer where I work, though =]
My husband is an engineer for the Department of Defense.
My FH is an EMT but is going back to school to become a paramedic. :D
he works with computers. makes websites, plus more, for a nonprofit. it took me a very long time to even understand that much, i really don't get computers!
Well, my darling boyfriend has 2 jobs. He's a minister (yikes!) and works at the bookstore where I work. Darn economy and its lack of real jobs...
My FI is in his last year of law school. Hopefully he will pass the bar and get a job as an attorney!
My FI is a Parcel Clerk. = ) He stockes everything, makes the asiles pretty, gathers carts, and back up cashiers.
Mine's a real estate asst. for a realestate agent who lists REOs. When we move, he is either going to get a job in education and finish his masters, or get his real estate license and continue in R.E. but make more $$$.
@OttawaBride - That is a definite perk!!!:-)
My fiance currently works in the Park and Recreation department of a nearby city, so basically he does landscaping. He's a full time accounting student though.
My husband is a Financial Analyst for a commodities trading company, and he will be promoted to a Sr. Analyst at the beginning of the new year.
My FI is an analyst at a hedge fund. He just started this summer so it's very long hours with excel spreadsheets + steep learning curve
My FI is an Investments Specialist with BofA but back in school for his 2nd Masters (working towards his CPA). He's a numbers genius and I am math-stupid so I'm so happy to have him and his "human calculator brain" in my life ;-)
Mine does the dishes & the windows because he got laid off & he's unemployed. Anyone in the NYC area looking for a marketing or Ad Sales planner? LOL
My FI finishing his degree in Information Systems, and has a job starting on Jan. 4th as a Computer analyst.
My FH is an Account Administrator for an investment firm. He will probably be promoted to Account Administrator Supervisor within the next 5 months though.
Mine's an analog applications engineer in Silicon Valley. I'm waiting for him to upgrade to being a chip designer so we can afford to live on this crazy-expensive peninsula..haha.
My FH works as a news director for some local radio stations so I can listen to his wonderful voice on the radio when I am missing him.
Mine is a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. He lobbies for science education, climate change, and the like (the good guys, IMO). He has his Ph.D.
He's a total science nerd, but he just got to go to the White House yesterday - and apparently was sitting right next to the MythBusters! I love my nerd. :-)
Mr.D runs an online skin care shop with his brother and is a freelance web designer/developer.
Mine is currently a student, but will be a marketing researcher/director... he's so dorkily in love with it, haha.
Mine is serving tables right now, but going to real estate school in January!
Mine is a technology coordinator/teacher at a private boys' school in Manhattan.
Mine's a political science professor, he's the brainy type!
Land surveyor and poker player ;)
He actually makes double the money in poker and has been trying to talk me into letting him do it full time... ugh, we'lll see.
@almostduffy: Mine has tried the full time poker player on me too, and although he is really good and wins lots, that's just way too risky for my taste! LOL
I know... and no insurance or retirement and it could become illegal at anytime
Mine's a graphic designer, but would rather be working as a marketing manager (his ultimate goal, next to owning a business with yours truly).
Mine is a court liaison for a drug/alcohol/mental health treatment program. He monitors the clients progress within their program and reports it back to the court. Its a tough job but he likes what he does. The success stories make it a really rewarding position for him to have.
The Guy is a lawyer. Makes arguing with him hopeless!
He's a funeral director....very interesting and yes, he does have some good stories.
My hubby is a Biologist.
lkbphmd - I have a friend who is a funeral director and he definitely has interesting stories too!!
