I wish I could tell you, just wanted to say that I watched this episode last night too.. And I was just in shock in this poor girls mothers behavior. The girl just wanted to please her mom, but her mom just kept shutting her down. Sorry just had to say it

The designers that jumped to my mind are Marisa or Lazaro.  I’m not sure though. O

I can’t help with the name but have you looked at loris website? Maybe it’s on there!

I think it’s the Lazaro 3004 gown.  It’s been around for a few years, but SYTTD Atlanta has had it on a few brides this season.  I never tried it on, but it was my favorite gown on the show (and on the Kleinfeld’s series) for a few years, so I always love seeing it on other brides.

And yes, I also felt really sad for both the bride and her mother when watching this episode.  It made me wonder why you would want to have such an uncomfortable relationship filmed, but hopefully the father can be made to watch it and realize that his domineering, patriarchal attitude towards the women in his family was causing so much pain.  What kind of “Christian” man wants his daughter to stay with a cheating husband, and then tries to prevent his wife from attending his daughter’s wedding?

Syttd Atlanta for some reason doesn’t feature the designers name but New York does. I’ve noticed it too and thought it odd.

yes the whole family dynamic on this episode was very sad and strange and there was definently more to the story.

After going through a bout of dress regret, I actually ended up buying this exact dress — the Lazaro 3004! I was surprised to see it on SYTTD Atlanta since it is a little bit of an older style. But it just feels so classic that I’m also not too surprised to see brides (including myself) fall in love with it! The lace detailing is so soft and feminine, and the way it drapes is definitely really flattering (in my biased opinion). It has a really nice organic flow to it, and the shiny layer underneath is a unique touch. Makes it seem more special in my opinion. 🙂
