So I am having a mini-freak out bc I just saw the pics from my friend's wedding that just took place at the start of May, and I've realized that I didn't even THINK about the wedding party's and our entrance into the banquet room for the reception! What else could I possibly be forgetting?

    -music CHECK                                                          -food/drinks CHECK

    -venue CHECK                                                          -bridesmaids/groomsmen CHECK

-first dance CHECK                                                   -flowers and decoration CHECK

    -favors CHECK                                                           -place cards CHECK

-STDs and invites sent CHECK                                 -rings CHECK

-dress/suit veil etc. CHECK                                      -officiant CHECK

-photographer CHECK                                                -hair/make up will figure out later

I don't see the sense of a program bc our ceremony is very simple and non-denominational.

We don't need a arrival car bc we are staying at the wedding venue the night before.  I've a DOC so I shouldn't be freaking so, but I AM!

What can I be forgetting? Does anyone wanna walk me through their day just in case I am forgetting something? Plz make any suggestions THANKS!!

Have you found a sign-in book, pen/back-up pen and photo for the table? Send-off items (bubbles, sparklers, etc)? Are you changing clothes before you have your send off?  hmmm...that's all I can think of!

I can't think of anything...but Honestly If I were as close as you I wouldn't be worried about an enterance. I'd just go in. lol. I hate too much attention! = ) You'll be fine. You're DOC will have it covered.

Thanks girls...I didn't think of bubbles or anything like that. Is that necessary? And the entrance isn't really necessary either. They don't do it here in Spain!

Are you doing parents' dances or bouquet/garter tossing? What about timing of cutting of the cake (if you're having one)? I know many people are cutting certain things out,but that's all I can think of too.

Well we are going to get a cake just for the pics, but we are having the most amazing STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING dessert at the dinner. All the times are already set.  I didn't think about that...do I have to do an entire dance just with my father and he with his mother??? Bouquet toss and garter we are not doing.

Just talked to FI our song is "Love Is" by John Lennon. Our live band will play it. When do we do this dance? Can we start each each with our parents (me and my Dad he and his mom) and then after 1 minute switch couples so my father is dancing with his mom and he and I are dancing together???

The first dance with the couple is usually alone, early on,signalling the start of open dancing. Parent dances can be after your first dance or a little later on. The F/D dance was announced about an hour and a half after the reception began, with the music switching for M/S dance. I think you can do whatever you want, but discuss it with whoever's doing your music so you all know what's happening and when.

We had only short dances for each...a whole song is way too long. A few minutes is fine.

Don't forget any jewelry and accessories! What about tips for vendors?

I think there are typically three main songs to be played:

    1. First dance for you and your husband
    2. Father Daughter
    3. Mother Son

I have always seen these three seperate short songs.  I think switching part way through a song would be tough.

I am getting ready for my wedding next week, here are a few of the things on my last minute to do list.

    1. List of shots for the photographers
    2. Rehearsal dinner dress
    3. Thank you presents and cards for everyone (just need to package them)
    4. Arrange transportation
    5. Seating chart
    6. Place to put the cards at the reception
    7. Something to wear the morning of the wedding while getting hair and makeup done

Hmm thanks for the advice. Yes everything having to do with the dress including accessories is already taken care of. I am not sure what we'll do, but in Spain (where we live) the 1st dance is the father daughter one. We may do it all together I am not sure...

Can I do at least the father daughter and mother son at the same time? It seems like an awful lot of dances to do alone!!
