I made a post a bit back asking for some book reccomendations and got quite a few good ones. Well I ended up buying one and have started to read it and my husband is looking at me like he would like a book of his own. I know there are some books out there geared specifically for expecting fathers, can anyone suggest some good ones? I’m looking for books that aren’t all sports analogies, thats just not my husband. I appreciate any suggestions.

@Hippos: I wish I could find one that doesn’t have sports analogies or he-man pandering. My husband is currently reading My Boys Can Swim!, which is a little too stupid for his tastes.
The best thing I’ve found is a blog called The Daddy Complex. The author has a sense of humor . It is less about childbirth and more about living with kids, though. He should have some pregnancy and childbirth posts up there somewhere — look under the pregnancy tag for some stuff.
Honestly, my DH has done a lot better with websites that have info about childbirth. That might work for your DH too.

I gave DH a copy of The Baby Owner’s Manual. It’s cute!

My doula and midwife both recommended The Birth Partner by Penny Simkin. DH is only a few pages in and I don’t think he’ll finish the whole book (he’s not a reader) but he does say it’s interesting. The book has gotten really good reviews.
