@MissParrot:  Uplighting was one of those things that we always liked, but didn’t really want to spend money on.  We ended up being able to negotiate a free add-on of uplighting from our DJ’s production company! 🙂  So that was a pleasant surprise.

We ended up having a candy buffet. I insisted it wasn’t in the budget, my parents had to have it so my dad expanded the budget to allow for it. It looked absolutely beautiful and it was a huge hit– So much so that it was gone before the bridal party got to the reception.

A day of coordinator. I thought we could get away without one, but then realized that if we didn’t have one, it would mean us and our bridal party would be left setting up the ceremony decor the day of. My FI actually convinced me that it was a must and we had to get one. Even if it might break our original budget.
