Which fictional couple (literature, film, television, etc.) are you and your SO most like? For example, Chandler and Monica (Friends), Heathcliff and Clair (The Cosby Show), Carl and Ellie (Up), Petunia and Vernon (Harry Potter), Benjamin and Elaine (The Graduate)… on and on.
I think we are Katniss and Peeta from the Hunger Games series … but without all the emotional trauma. I am loyal and a strong-willed but am also quick-tempered and slow to let people in. He is an all around good guy, sociable, really great with words and making everybody love him, and creative. Also like Katniss and Peeta, he’s loved me tremendously from the beginning but it took me quite a while to catch up to him.

@beeks: I wish I could “like” your post! My FI and I are just like that as well! She even had a crush on me in High School and I had no idea she even existed!

I cant decide.
He acts like Tony Stark without the alcoholism or the assholeishness. He’s got the cockiness though.

Lily and Marshall from How I met your Mother!!! I am impulsive and he is the voice of reason lol! Like Lily, I can be sweet and all but then again I can have a dark side and can be the tough one. My FI is such a sweet person! He sees the good in everyone!! I love him <3

Doug and Carrie Heffernan from King of Queens. We’re both incredibly sarcastic and don’t sugar coat shit. There are really too many similarities to list.

With Katniss and Peeta…that means you reluctantly chose to be with him after your other options weren’t acceptable because of the trauma you both experienced? lol. I am sure you read the book a different way!
We’re totes Mulder and Scully…oh wait. No. We’re just not that exciting! =)

We joke that we are Leia and Han Solo

@peachacid: Haha, no. Although I think she would have never chosen to be with him in normal circumstances (because she would have had no reason to interact with him), I think in the end she realizes that he actually is the best person for her. Because of this quote near the end: “What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again and only Peeta can give me that.” So I wouldn’t describe it as “reluctance.”
Anyway, that quote doesn’t so much apply to us. But one of the most amazing things he has done for me is taught me to enjoy every day as it is rather than to be always worrying about the future or dwelling on the past (rough time growing up, moved out at 15). I think that is Katniss-Peeta-esque. But the main reason I chose them is because of the personality match-ups (although that’s definitely more of a compliment to him than it is to me!).
