Just had our tasting yesterday actually!

We’re going with midnight (chocolate) cake with white chocolate filling. It was amazing.

We decided on white cake with a different filling on each layer. Top layer was butter cream icing, middle layer was raspberry, and bottom layer was lemon. It was delicious.

Our bottom layer is chocolate with a chocolate mousse filling with mini chocolate chips

middle layer is white with fresh strawberries and whipped cream filling

top layer (our fav flavor) is pineapple with pineapple filling!

As we have occasions leading up the the wedding I’ve had our baker bake us a cake in one of the flavors. His bday I had her do the chocolate with mousse and chips for his birthday, and tomorrow is our 4 yr anniversary together so she’s making the pineapple and for my birthday she’s going to do the white and strawberries. Our baker rocks! Even FI says its the best cake he’s ever tasted. Can’t wait to see our wedding cake!

Just had our tasting last week! We chose white almond with raspberry filling for our top and bottom layers. The middle layer will be white cake with lemon curd filling. 🙂

I have a feeling when SO and I get married it will be his mom’s amazing fruitcake, decorated by his sister in law. Anyone who doesn’t like fruitcake can suck it up because we both LOVE it!

crackktheskyy:  we are combining our bride and groom cake. Half will be chocolate and carrot cake and our top tier we keep for our one year  anniversary will be lemon cake.

I want a cake that’s lovely and classic ivory with a simple dainty pattern on the outside and FUNFETTI on the inside. I cannot be swayed.

Our top tier will be lemon with raspberry filling, and buttercream icing and then fondant on top of that. But apart from that, we’re having cupcakes. They’ll be lemon with raspberry filling, banana with caramel filling, and French vanilla with no filling.

Bottom layer – orange and almond with dark chocolate Belgian cellebaut  chocolate ganache and top layer coconut with white chocolate ganache. I was so sad because I was too full to have any at the reception (whoever said the bridal party don’t eat wasn’t at our wedding! Haha) and there wasn’t any left 🙁 it was delicious at our tasting though!

Once he asks (which I think might be soon!) blue velvet cake! for at least one of the tiers. I think I’ll leave the rest to him or family because I like involving everyone 🙂

The bridal cake was marble with butter cream frosting, and the grooms cake was chocolate with chocolate icing. Both simple, from publix and delicious!!
