Hey ladies! I just picked my baker for the wedding cake and after trying literally 12 cake flavors we chose vanilla, strawberry, red velvelt and coconut! What flavor(s) is YOUR cake going to be?
My FH's grooms cake is going to be red velvet with cream cheese frosting. Then our 4 tier wedding cake is strawberry cake with fresh strawberries in the middle for 2 layers and white cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting for the other 2 layers! YUM!

Ours is going to be three layers with two different types of cake and two different types of filling. The bottom layer is going to be chocolate cake with cookies and cream mousse and the top two layers are going to be lemon cake with marionberry creme cheese filling. I can hardly wait. It will be iced with buttercream frosting and have chocolate bows and roses in our colors.
Ours is going to be 3 layers, I think we are going with the bottom chocolate, the middle strawberry and the top will be yellow. Our baker makes our aniversary cake separate for free so all my layers will be served to the guests!
Golden pound cake soaked in hazelnut liquor with bavarian cream filling and chantilly cream icing. This sounds more complicated than it tastes.
haha...i cant remember the names of the buttercreams..but I know vanilla buttercream went on one of them but there are two more!
3 tiers. Bottom tier is white cake with starwberry. Middle is marble with fudge and top is red velvet with cream cheese.
I am doing all four tiers the same. We will be having a chocolate cake with raspberry filling and coated in chocolate ganache served with vanilla ice cream and raspberry syrup.
Red velvet. I'm not a cake person at all, and this is the only one I liked :)
We haven't decided yet, my FMIL is making, but I think we are just doing white cake w/ a white filling...I'm not a huge chocolate fan, and have some strawberry allergies on my side of the family.
We are having 2 diff fillings both in vanila cake

We're having three tiers, each a different flavor:
1) chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and fresh blackberries and raspberries
2) lemon cake with lemon curd and fresh strawberries
3) (MY FAVE!) coconut cake with cream cheese filling and mango jam
I'm getting hungry just THINKING about them!

Im having 1. red velvet with creamcheese buttercream 2. Vanilla with vanilla buttercream
3.Strawberry with swiss meringue buttercream 4.coconut with swiss meringue buttercream
and top tier which we are keeping is going to be stawberry again because it was Teddy's favorite :)
we didn't get to do a cake tasting, which kind of makes me sad. we had cream puffs- croquembouche.
Spicecake with pumpkin filling and creamcheese frosting! All shaped into a wonderful pirate shape!!
We we went with vanilla cake with chocolate ganache and fresh berry filling.
We're going simple, one layer of almond and two layers of chocolate with buttercream frosting. I loooooove almond cake! All the other cakes on here sound delicious :)

Now I'm hungry. Our cupcakes are going to be pumpkin with cream cheese icing and orange with chocolate buttercream.
Three layer cake...top and bottom tier are spice cake with alternating layers of caramel buttecream and apple preserves. The middle layer is red velvet with chocolate truffle buttercream. YUMMY!!!
we're having 3. yellow with chocolate frosting (HIS), carrot with cream cheese frosting (MINE) and a "surprise" fruit filled cake with a lavender-colored frosting (surprise filling being chosen by our family that is gifting us the cake!).
I'm definitely having one layer of chocolate pound with bailey's filling. Yumm!

My cake will be a surprise. I picked the look of the cake, but my dad and grandma are my taste testers. They are ordering it from the baker for me, so I'll find out on the big day.
We're doing vanilla and chocolate poundcake with white chocolate chocolate chip mousse inside!!! MMMMMM!!!!

Bottom tier: Almond Champagne cake with raspberry and barvarian cream filling
Middle tier: Chocolate cake with chocolate and white chocolate mousse
Top tier: Pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese frosting
All covered in chocolate buttercream
We are having 4 layers,..2 will be spumoni-pisachio cake with chocolate chuncks and chopped cherries and italian butter cream, and 2 layers will be a vanilla cake with coconut cream cheese frosting with passion fruit puree. ssssoooooo yummy!
Two different flavors on my white cake: Dulce de Leche filling and brigadeiro filling (for those who don't know, brigadeiro is a Brazilian dessert, made out of condensed milk and chocolate -- yum).
Top Tier- Choch with choch butter cream
middle- almaretto with raspberry filling
bottom- red velvet with buttercream

We're having vanilla with buttercream icing. I know nothing too fancy, but that's the kind of cake we like. :) We're also having Cold Stone Ice Cream cake for the Groom's cake.
We're having a traditional fruit cake with marzipan fondant. I'm super excited! I love fruit cake :)
Chocolate Truffle Cake
Chocolate decadent cake brushed with Chambord and filled with chocolate Ganache and a hint of European raspberry
Our cake is three layers and we are taking the top layer home for the 1st anniversary. We also ordered two half sheet cakes.
The flavors:
Bottom and top layer: "Summertime" which is layers of orange and lemon cake with raspbery preserves filling.
Middle layer: Almond cake with apricot preserves filling.
Half sheet 1: Marble cake with chocolate ganache filling.
Half sheet 2: White cake with bavarian creme filling.
This amount of cake will feed 170 and I love that we are offering a few choices!
FMIL is doing our cake. We're going with funfetti or possibly swirl white cake with buttercream. FI and I do not like chocolate, he does not like cream cheese and I don't like fruit in my cake lol.
ours was yellow cake with strawberry jam in between the layers and buttercream on the outside. What was nice it that our baker put buttercream in the center too, and the jam so it was buttercream, cake, buttercream, jam, cake etc. SO YUMMIE!
