(I can't think of a better way to word the title, it's late and I may have enjoyed some wine tonight, apologies lol)

I can't stand shaving my thighs. At all. Sometimes I'll ask FH to shave them for me (which he obviously loves doing LOL) but most of the time I'll just ignore the fact that they need to be shaved until FH rubs a thigh one time and sighs "mmm... cottonfield." Yoinks.

Also, I hate plucking my eyebrows. I've had thick bangs that cover my eyebrows for years, so some days I'll pin my bangs back and realize I look like a cave woman.

Flossing sucks, too. I mean, I do it, but I'm not happy about it.

...This post makes me sound like a very hairy dental nightmare, doesn't it? LOL.
What about you guys? What's your hygenic pet peeve?

On an unrelated note, it took me 5 tries to publish this post. Seriously, wine. It's not my friend tonight.

i hate all hair-related maintenance. my hair grows extremely fast, so there's always hair somewhere that needs to be removed. so annoying.

Oh, I don't even shave my legs above the knee. WAY too much trouble, lol. I have dark hair (which is pretty thin on my thighs) and dark skin, so it's not very noticeable.

Leg shaving is the worst ever. Also eyebrows, men don't get how much it hurts to yank out hairs from your forehead!

@acciotoni:  hhahahah wine is my friend tonight, i start teeth whitening tomorrow and the red i love is a no no so I've decided to indulge...

i HATE flossing.....and I have previously only done so when there's something stuck in my teeth kinda thing, but last week the dentist told me I have to, or I'm going to get gingivitis....shit.

To be honest, I loathe taking showers.  I don't mind once I'm in, but I hate being wet after the fact and I HATE my hair being wet.

I do however love swimming and going to the beach...go figure.

Should probably reassure folks that despite me loathing showers...I take them :/

@lilchicana:  Hear, hear! I've got fairly light hair, but it grows like crazy and I feel like an orangutan if I go too long without shaving. Eyuck.

@icetea:  I'm the same way! My hairdryer has been broken for months and I have no urge to get a new one, but I spend the time it takes for my hair to dry naturally in a state of constant annoyance.

@lia22:  Oh, nice! I rarely drink wine, but FH is having a bad day at work so I swung by the liquor store to pick him up a small bottle of Jack so he could relax and have a drink when he got home and they had these cute little mini-bottles of sweet moscato and I couldn't resist!

I hate having to stave my armpits every few days. I'm 100% Italian and other than in that area I'm pretty lucky in the hair department. I have NEVER shaved my thighs. I have been accused of shaving my arms before which is pretty funny. :) I hate putting on lotion, it just always feels greasy and it drives me nuts, so I don't use it often.

@Duckie731:  I actually love shaving my armpits. It's such an instant gratification thing!
"Oh... my armpits are looking like brillo pads" *swipe, swipe, swipe* "Sweet, hairless!"

If only shaving my thighs was that quick :(

Same here - I hate shaving my thighs, it feels like it takes so long because the hair grows all different ways. I shave every day, no matter what and my showers are always 20 mins long.

I also hate drying my hair!

I know this is rare, but I actually don't mind shaving at all. I actually shave my legs and underarms every other day. Somehow I got lucky and my skin doesn't get all irritated from shaving that much.

I do, however, HATE plucking the stupid little gross black hairs that pop out of my chin every few weeks. UGH. Hate admitting I even have that problem. Makes me feel so gross. And no product I've tried has made it go away. (shudder).

I've also recently grown to hate dealing with my complexion. I never had skin problems in my teens, but over the last 2 years or so my skin is a giant mess. Oily one day, dry and peeling the next. Rosacea, wrinkles, eczema ... anything else?!?! Being under the care of a dermatologist doesn't even seem to be helping. Ugh. So frustrated.

This Time Round    December 2012   Canada / Wedding in the US South over Christmas Holidays

Also because of my genetic history (an element of North American Indian) I have very little leg & arm hair... so shaving my legs is pretty much a non-required element (I do it once in awhile... a couple times a year, though if I know we'll be going on vacation / enjoying the beach etc... just to "keep up appearances").  Although I have been known to just spray on "Sun In" and let the few stragglers stay just be a nice shade of blonde.

    YUP... lazy shaver for sure.

In retrospect, what Mother Nature didn't put on my legs & arms... she went overboard with elsewhere.  And all of it requires a fair bit of regular maintenance.

Bikini Line & Armpit hair can grow like wild-fire.  Eyebrows are a mangled mess most of the time.

Eyebrows would be the one that I let slip most of the time (I will not tweeze... OUCH.  And don't particularly like having them waxed at the salon either).

    Talking about the salon...

The hair on my head, never ceases to amaze my Stylist.  I have like a TON of hair... and it grows sooo very very quickly.

They say "the norm" is aprox 0.25 to 0.50 inches per month (so max about 6 inches per year).  I am easily in the 8 to 12 inches per year category.  I've worn it long for most of my life (just easier).

Seriously considering a major POST WEDDING CHOP... that will be a HUGE change for the new Mrs TTR

Oh man, I hate most of it.  I hate hate hate washing my hair.  It is really long and takes forever in the shower and I have huge boobs- it just is not that fun to shower.  I always have tons of tangles.  It is just a pain in the butt.

I also hate doing dishes, I don't know if that counts!  And laundry.  I hate my hands being wet when I am doing dishes.  Suppose I should just get some gloves.

I hate people touching me so I hate getting my hair cut, but luckily I have a great stylist that understands my long tangly hair and doesn't just tear it with a paddle brush.

I have, right now, this minute, the biggest toothache you could imagine, I have known for a while my back tooth needing work but ignored it until now, I have to wait until tomorrow at 5:00 to find out what they can do. I wish I can take better care of my teeth including flossing!

Shaving is a cake walk to me! I HATE, HATE, HATE having to dye my hair. If I go to the salon, it's like 3 hours out of my day, if I do it at home, it's about 2 hours. My hair is like 65% gray thanks to genetics. Also, my hair grows at an extremely rapid rate, so I have to color it like right in between the 2-3 week mark. I can never understand anyone willingingly putting themself through this process. If I didn't have to do it, I totally wouldn't!

Shaving, of course, so I'm extra glad it's getting cold out and I don't have to as often. The hair on my thighs barely grows anymore, so my fiance can rarely tell I haven't shaved my legs (he's not very observent when it comes to my lower legs), plus my body hair is blonde. I do shave my armpits regularly, though, b/c it takes 2 seconds.

Showering is a nuisance, but I don't go more than a day without one...and it only takes me about 5 minutes...I will never understand people (like my fiance) who spend 20+ minutes just standing in a shower!

Pretty much any beauty maitenance gets on my nerves...haha...I hate having to wear makeup every day, but my skin tone is wonky and I have blonde brows and lashes, so if I don't wear makeup in public, I look horrible...absolutely no definition of my eyes! I want to get them tinted, to cut down on the makeup, but then there's the upkeep with that...sigh...

I absolutely dspise shaving as well.  My hair always gets wet and because my hair is sooo thick and curly it takes me another 30-45 mnutes after my shower to re-flatten my hair.   I am really hoping I get this from Santa this year Laughing

I HATE taking my makeup off at night. Especially my eye makeup. It takes so much time and I hate washing my face in a cold bathroom, and inevitably my sleeves and shirt get wet. If I didn't love makeup so much, I would never wear it just because I LOATHE taking it off!

Ugh, my legs.  I don't even mind getting a brazillian wax, but legs take forever and I end up all bruised on my shins.  I'll wax my own eyebrows, armpits, and chin (lucky me with fair skin and tons of hair where it shouldn't be).

But my legs.... I refuse to shave them, after I paid to get them laser-removed and it didn't really work (there's less, so I can kinda get away with not shaving a lot).  And waxing is hard to do myself and expensive to do at the salon.  Bah.

ETA:  my husband is Chinese (well, Taiwanese) and he has no hair on his legs.  It's not fair.

@icetea:  Eeeeeee never ever brush hair when it's wet! That's a huge frizz and breakage causer! Stick a wide tooth comb in the shower and comb through your hair after you let your conditioner sit for a bit, before you rinse it out. Get a good detangler (Organix argan oil stuff is lovely) and work a little bit through towel dried hair (never ever rub your head with a towel, squeeze instead), then comb through with a wide tooth comb again. The rest really depends on if you wear your hair curly or straight.

Coloring my hair - expensive, so I stopped.

Shaving my thighs - as dark and coarse as the hair below my knees is, the hair on my thighs is super light, fine, and sparse. I shave them every...couple of months?

Eyebrow maintenance - ugh. I killed my brows years ago, and they never recovered. I decided to try to grow them back in, so I stopped plucking (except for stray dark hairs) and threading and started using Billion Dollar Brows. They've actually gotten better, but they're still thin.

Bikini line - my skin is super sensitive, which means that I get LOTS of ingrown hairs when I try to groom.

Brushing my teeth - I know this is gross, but rest assured that I brush and floss daily. I just have a really sensitive gag reflex, so every single time I brush, I always end up gagging, red face, bloodshot and watering eyes, the whole nine. Gross. I also hate mouth wash, but I use a restoring one after I whiten my teeth because they get really sensitive.

@strawbs:  I probably should get mine waxed more (there isn't a place that does threading in my area yet...sad) since I too belong to the bushy-eyebrow clan, but my bangs cover mine 85% of the time so I just... don't care. LOL
