Well we have this mouse in the house. My SO named him mr. mouse very orginial. Last night the mouse was climbing up the curtains near the bed. My SO wakes me up and asks if he can switch spots with me. His sleeps on the side of the bed thats right next to the curtains. I said no but then asked him if he was serious and he said no. After that he went to go get our dog who is like a shitzu. He puts her right between us in the bed and said it will be okay because she would protect him from the mouse. I just thought it was to funny. I mean she does like to kill things and probably would of killed the mouse. I opened the door to the room to go get something and she ran out. I guess she wasn’t in the mood to hang around. Now my SO contined to tell me if he got bite it was my fault. Needless to say he didn’t get bite but I did hear the mouse running on the keyboard. I think it’s funny because guys are suppose to be so tough and his scared of a little mouse.

Why are mice so rampant around weddingbee these days? We had one in the house last night. My SO originally was actually kind of scared of our cat. He was so afraid of the cat biting him or scratching him. Now I think he’s fine but he’s not exactly kitty friendly yet.

Mine is scared of raw meat. We had to clean the turkey for Christmas and he stood over the sink for a half an hour working himself up to the task before I told him to sit this one out, I’d handle it. He’s a bit better with steak/burger, but chicken, turkey, grosses/creeps him out (he has no problem eating it though)

I am the spider killer in this relationship…

Literally everything that lives in the ocean. On our first vacation together we went snorkeling together. I later found out he had never been snorkeling and was trying to play it cool. At one point he swallowed a ton of water and pushed me under while trying to “save” himself. He thinks all sharks are secretly out to get him.

Ditto! All the men in his family do not like spiders! I don’t know what it is.

my Fiance is not afraid of spiders typically. but one day when we were pulling out of our garage a HUGE spider landed on our windshield. it nearly gave me a heart attack, but I had to secretly laugh at my Fiance, who screamed! it was pretty damn funny.

Fiance is scared of fish. Any fish, all fish, GOLDfish. I have had a tank of goldfish for years, and it freaks him out. I can’t get rid of them, though. Our cats love watching them for hours. We have one (fish) that is getting freakishly big at this point. I think its cute when them come up to nibble on my finger, but he just shudders and leaves the room .
In FI’s opinion the only good fish is the one on his dinner plate.
Now bats, on the other hand. That’s his job to take care of.

This thread is awesome.
Mine is irrationally afraid of food poisoning. He got shown some video when he was 15 and working at summer camp about the importance of food safety, and let’s just say he REALLY took it to hear. There will be no medium-rare hamburgers or runny scrambled eggs in this house.

Mine is terrified of snakes…literally..terrified! We had a petsmart open up near our house not too long ago and we were looking in some of the tanks and I asked one of the guys that worked there if i could hold the corn snake and he said sure and the second he went to open the top of the tank my Fiance was already at the other end of the store freaking out!!!! It was hilarious!!! Now me on the other hand…I can NOT handle spiders…I can’t even look at a picture of them…i literally will shake for a good while after seeing one near me…so he’s the spider killer and I’m the snake lover hahaha

I’m afraid of birds too! They always seem to find me! I watched “The Birds” when I was little (thanks grandma), but what sealed the deal came much later. My Maid/Matron of Honor and I were in Disney World in college bringing some muffins back to our friends one morning when we were straight up attacked by seaguls! I still won’t walk near one. It’s really bad.
