My mom is a professional photographer, so of course when we got engaged she INSISTED on taking our wedding pics. Even though I INSISTED she come to the wedding to enjoy it. She outright refused. What can I give her as a thank you? Everything I’ve seen online just seems so…cheap?! I want something special. She’s not into jewelery, hankies, etc. Help!

What kind of budget are you looking at? Does she have any hobbies other than photography? Does she collect anything? My first thought was a really nice vintage camera, but that may not be her cup of tea.

We got my mom a custom embroidered throw blanket with a professional photo of her dogs. Maybe your mom has a photo she’s particularly proud of…not wedding related that you can have turned into a blanket?

Maybe a gift certificate for a pamper day and new camera stuff…like a new lens?

I love the idea of getting her camera gear, but that may feel like a “work thing”. You know her best so you can decide if it’s a good fit.
In general, moms like the mushy heartfelt gift. Perhaps you can make her a scrapbook and write a little note with each photo about what she’s taught you in life or what you remember about that scene. Bawl fest!
I am insane and decided to make a quilt for each of the sets of parents. I have made zero ever and I have 10 weeks. Wish me luck!
