I am pairing it with two shades of pink, along with some dark purple in the flowers.
You can't go wrong with kelly green and blue!
I love the lime green idea with royal blue. But I would also suggest a teal blue. That'd be really pretty :]
Good luck!
I am doing Royal Blue as the main color. I am going to have some hot pink roses and green orchids. All the accessories are going to be silver.
I am like you, was between Royal Blue and green. Most of my girls were not thrilled about green, but the royal blue dresses are really pretty!
yellow! Brighten up the winter month of Fed.
I also agree with combining royal blue with different shades of other blue like teal or sky blue..it might be more classy
I'm doing royal blue BM dresses with accents of bright orange, yellow and green - mostly through flowers, but the BM shoes will be different colors too. Where are you getting married? My wedding is on Shelter Island.
Royal blue and champagne. It's a nice mix of a fun bold color and a classic muted color.
We're doing blue (like 3+ different shades) with orange/yellow accents.
With weddings, you can really get away with almost any color combo that you want. Seriously.
I'm doing blue and blue (navy and lt/sky) but I love an apple or lime green with royal blue. Alternatively, you could do a lt. yellow or even peacock colors (teal, gold, emerald).
My MOH wore royal blue and the rest of my bridesmaids wore cornflower blue. I used white and silver ribbon and had a snowflake theme. For you, it might work having a wedding in February.
my fiance chose royal blue and OMG its hard to color combine that! I settled on a great truffle/chocolate brown which is going good with out 10-10-10 vineyard wedding
I love royal blue with yellow and white. Then you can add touches of lime green, pink, or whatever "hot colors" you want. Just an opinion - good luck! I completely understand what you're going through.
Wow, you ladies have all given me some great feedback! MUCH appreciated!!
I love the royal blue with white/yellow. I've always loved yellow, but very few of my b-maids would be able to pull it off if I made it the dress color, ha! I'm also a fan of the peacock theme -- hints of brown, green, teal.... hmmmmmm!!!!! See, it's a dilemma! Thanks again, All! (Keep 'em coming!!)
SarahSD: We're getting married on Mission Bay, at The Dana Hotel :) Hoping the weather will cooperate for our outdoor ceremony. I used to live there and remember Feb being a tad chilly but not really rainy by the end of the month (2/26). Hopefully 2011 stays that way for us -- some sunshine would be nice too! You'll have no problem in August! Who are you using for flowers/photography if I can ask (since we're both BEES!) :)
My bridesmaids dresses are royal blue and the flowers are all fucshia. It looks really great together!
I like gold or even a lighter blue (like aqua or even a robin's egg blue) would be awesome.
I love Royal Blue with Gold. I have always thought there is something very regal about that combination.
Oh wow, that green really make the blue in that picture pop! I love the idea of orchids with those dresses too. How lovely!
You could do monochromatic blues, blue and brown, blue and white/silver, blues and purples and hot pinks.
I LOVE this inspiration board,

Pink, purple, bright green, gold are all good options. You might consider choosing other elements of your decor and letting that guide your choice (flowers, groomsmen's ties, BM shoes).
Our wedding is royal blue and lime green! I LOVE it. We've gotten a few strange looks when I say that (whoa, that's bright!) but it looks both classy and fun, imho.
The bridesmaids are wearing blue, carrying white and green bouquets, and the groomsmen are wearing blue ties w/ their tuxes. The little ones are in white and green, with green pillows/baskets. Our linens are blue, but the flowers are white and green. I think it's coming together really really well! The royal blue balances out the overwhelmingness of the lime green, but the green makes the blue more fun.
When we decided on royal blue I was excited to have made a decision. But saddened because I've always wanted use gerbera daisies (my favorite) and was clueless how I'd get things to match. I found this site http://www.fiftyflowers.com/product/Blue-Tinted-Gerber-Daisy-Bulk-Flowers_10.htm
They may have other blue tinted flowers. I'm going to see if they will send me a sample before I buy a bulk to see if it really is the right blue (of course). So I don't know if it will acutally be helpful for me but maybe it will work for someone else.

Looking for some color combo help to get my wedding planning going..... thinking royal blue as a main color, but struggling with the rest. Lime green? Latte/lt. brown? Our ceremony is outdoors on grass in San Diego with an indoor ballroom reception in February.... Want something classy and sharp looking.... I love green too as a main color but not sure it looks good on everyone in terms of dresses?? Thoughts?
