The Office Groom is officially partaking in bachelor party debauchary at this very moment. He and his best buds headed off this morning to the sin city we all love to hate – Las Vegas.
Am I nervous? Meh – I guess I am a bit. But it’s nothing for me to stress about. After all, the girls and I had our fun in Miami, and while the Office Groom admitted to sitting at home with the cat and drinking wine while drumming his fingers on the couch armrest, he knew that ultimately there was nothing to worry about. And he was right.
So now that the tables are turned, I know the same thing. Are there going to be some crazy stories when he gets home? I sure as hell hope so! When I came home from Miami with an old trumpet in my luggage, OG first gave me a “WTF” look and then proceeded to laugh hysterically and ask me what happened (And if there are enough Bees interested, I’d be more than happy to share, lol).
My most prized souvenir from Miami
That’s the thing – as long as we’re honest with each other, there isn’t that darn little voice in the back of our heads saying “What happened?!” It’s just the waiting for the return of your significant other that’s hard! I’m so excited that he’s getting a chance to do this with his guys, but I also miss him terribly and a tiny little part of me, just a tiny, wishes I was there too.
So, what am I doing for the next 4 days? LOTSA socializing to keep my mind off things! The way I see it, this is a weekend of opportunity to catch up with friends and family, and to also have some me time at home.
And possibly with the cat, and a few bottles of beer.
For all other brides out there patiently waiting for their men to return from their bachelor parties – you’re not alone 🙂

I will be in your shoes in 2 weeks 🙂 Fiance will be going with 3 other grooms and 25 other men to party it up in Vegas (including my father)…I’m going away with my mom for the weekend to enjoy some mom time. Unfortunately I don’t get to go away with my girls for a bachelorette party but that’s ok.
Enjoy the weekend!

Yup, gonna need to know the trumpet story.
I’m glad neither one of you is/was nervous. Trust is hard to come by but its so comforting when you have it. And I hope he’s having fun, I’m sure he deserves it too 🙂

We’re having our parties the same weekend…this weekend actually!
I’m not worried about him, and I’m definitely not going to be waiting to call him because I’ll be busy with my own fun :o) I actually hope he doesn’t bug me ;o)
I’m staying here in the city, and he’s headed to Mohegan Sun.

You have such a healthy outlook on this. Good for you! And thanks for sharing your insight. It’s good to hear and remember for the rest of us.

P.S. I think the trumpet story is a requirement now.

Mine is on his way to Vegas right now too! Maybe they’ll run in to each other 🙂 I think we all feel a little bit of the – ahh, its Vegas! What’s going to happen? But since we talked about it before he left – what I’m ok with, what I’m not, I’m not worried. He deserves an awesome weekend with his friends, and I will be spending the weekend with my girlfriends so I’m not just at home wondering what he’s up to!

My Fiance and friends will be going to Vegas for 4th of July weekend but hey, I’ll be on the beach having fun with my girls! I’m not worried – I know they’ll have a great time and I trust him (I just hope he doesn’t lose too much money – they all like to gamble!)
And yes – you have to share the trumpet story!!

Ha! Right, the trumpet story, lol!
Ok…on our last night in Miami we decided to try this pakacge deal, which included 2 hours of free drinks, a limo ride, and entry into Nikki Beach. Needless to say we took full advantage of the free drinks, and by the time we got to the club, we were pretty silly. But not drunk enough that we didn’t notice how lame the club was. We were ready to leave, and waiting for a friend to come back from the washroom, when I noticed an old trumpet on a wall, with a whole bunch of other random decor. Suddenly, all I wanted was that trumpet, lol.
So with the help of my Maid/Matron of Honor, I used my kung fu speed to knock down the trumpet, and then proceeded to ram it up my MOH’s dress, LOL. We quickly made our way down the stairs, our the door, and across the parking lot (we thought we were being all smooth, but we were probably really clumsy looking). Once we got to the street, she pulled the trumpet out from her dress (now THAT’S an image) and we laughed hysterically. For the rest of the night I held the trumpet with pride.

1. i love the trumpet story!!
2. i plan to have a slumber party when mr. besitos is away for his party. partly because i hate sleeping in our apt alone when he’s gone, partly because i don’t wanna think about what he’s getting into. not that i think he’ll do anything to disrespect me….more worried they will get arrested and/or hurt. cuz his friends are not so brite sometimes.
