Ok bee’s I just got a paper cut, man do those things hurt but that’s nothing compared to other injuries.
I was wondering what the worst injury you girls (or guys!) have ever had?
I have been pretty luck (knock on wood) but when I was about 13 I slipped on wet tile and hit the corner of my eye on the corner of a handrail for a flight of stairs. It swelled up to a huge bump and I had all kinds of broken blood vessles in my eye. I’m pretty sure that’s the worst injury I had, not including skinned knees of course.

I fell in a pothole when I was 10 and needed several stitches on my knee. Thankfully that’s the worst, no broken bones!

I broke my collarbone in high school. Omfg that hurts so effing bad! It’s a giant bone and it stabilizes your entire body. Appreciate your collarbones, people!
Besides that, I’ve been pretty lucky, especially considering how many times I’ve pitched head first of my mountain bike *knock on wood*

@Artificial-Sweetener: I had to have a full ACL reconstruction when I was a teenager.

Hmm I broke my wrist twice and had to get stitches in my thigh, but the worst injury I’ve had is SI joint dysfunction (i.e. hip/lower back joint pain) that has been a problem for almost 2 years. I’ve had to have several doses of steroids and it still aches 24 hours/day. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone!

@Artificial-Sweetener: injury…i was running in the house and slipped and fell into my parent’s glass table and needed stitches right next to my eye. I was lucky I didn’t take an eye out. but thats nothing compared to my surgery that I had (surgery was not an injury, my ureter tubes needs to be reimplanted and because of that, 1/3 of my kidney was damaged)

Oh jeeze… I’m accident prone, but nothing tooo major.
When I was about 4 or 5, I tripped and my hands landed in/on a kerosene heater.
I got a concussion on my slip-n-slide at my 7th birthday party.
When I was 8 my mom & I were mugged in a parking lot & she tried to shove me out but apparently there was another guy and he slammed my head in the door. I started screaming (because HELLO! I’m 8 and freaking the eff out here!) and the first guy reached across and smacked my face. I kind of don’t remember much else about it, but my mom & I had some bumps/bruises/cuts but thankfully nothing major.
I broke my pinky finger in 4th grade, and again in 8th grade, and again in college. Same pinky.
I broke my nose playing lacrosse in college. I also broke my nose again playing rugby in college.
I sprained my ankle so badly they talked about it maybe being a surgical repair when I was about 19/20 and in the Army. Luckily it healed with a few months of PT.
I stress fractured my femur in 2009 but that also healed without surgery.
The only other major thing that happened to my body was having a baby last year.
ETA- I also broke my toe while I was marathon training (not from the training though) I accidentally kicked our coffee table while kicking around dog toys for my pups. It was my big toe too! Man it hurt to run on that!

I had my quarter horse crush my right foot. He stepped on it and put all his weight on it.
The accident was 100% my fault, I wasn’t paying attention to where he was and he engaged his front end and turned to look at me. No broken bones, but I was on crutches and vicodin for six months, and I have extensive soft tissue and nerve damage. It hurts every day of my life and sometimes makes walking (even barefoot) unbearably painful.
The ER doc said it would have been better for me if my bones had broken, it would have taken most of the strain off the tissues. Oh well, such is life.

During my first week of college I fell down a flight of stairs and tore 4/5 ligaments in my foot. It was so painful because not much can be done other than wait and heal.
Plus, the doctors in the ER put my foot in the incorrect position when they were wrapping it up. I wound up back in the ER a week later because my muscles were so tense and the pain was so outstanding. 2 blood clots all thanks to incompetency!

@lilchicana: O0of… The last time I slipped at the grocery store was in front of the flower fridge and did slow motion spilts. Thankfully nothing was injured.

@Hyperventilate: Oy. I was stepped on by a morgan horse once, but thankfully it was muddy so my foot just sunk into the ground!
