Just a random, fun question. The only thing I can think of that I accidentally left on a plane was a ball of yarn. 😛
Unfortunately, with almost all yarns, you need to buy all of your yardage at the same time to have the same dye lot so the end product doesn’t look weird. I ran out of yarn and never ended up finishing that sweater.

I left my Kindle… but then I realized that I left it and ran back to the plane. The nice fight attendant got it for me. Crisis averted.

@DomesticDiva: Not on a plane, but still related…I left ALL my luggage at my grandparents house in England. We took two cars to the airport, my parents told me to pack my bags leave them in my room and someone would take them to the car for me. I noticed when we left they were not in the car I was in but just assumed my bags were in the other car. We got to Heathrow and unloaded both cars…”Umm where’s my luggage?”
Not there, that’s where, no one ever loaded it into the car. We were too far away (they lived in a small town outside Oxford then) to go back and get it. I had to wait at least a month or two for them to ship it over to me. They had to go through and cataloge every item before shipping too. It was such a pain. I was so happy when I finally got my bags back! I think I was in middle school at the time. Since then I ALWAYS make sure I load my bags into the car! LOL.

@DomesticDiva: I left my car keys on a plane. My infant at the time loved to chew on this obit keyring I had and somehow they got left behind.

My wallet. Luckily the cleaning crew found it and brought it to the lost and found and I got it back!

In 1998 I left an entire CD case on the airplane, I lost about 30 of my favorite CDs! *sob*

A paperback chick lit book. I think it was called the “Ex Files” or something. Nothing too remarkable.
My Fiance left his cell phone in a cab though, and one of my good friends left her $700 Michael Kors (or was it Marc Jacobs?) coat in a cab. Neither of them got their stuff back.

@DomesticDiva: I bought some new travel accessories before my first long international flight. I had a contoured eye mask and ear plugs in a nice little drawstring pouch to keep it all together. I used the mask on the first flight, which was only a few hours, and forgot it in the seatback pocket in my groggy sleep stupor as I got off the plane, so I didn’t even have it for the 12-hour flight! BOO. lol

My super organized trip planner. It held print outs of our hotel reservations, flight checkins, and research-approved restaurants for eating at in Vegas and San Francisco. Thankfully I left it on the plane on the flight home so I didn’t need anything in it anymore.

I left behind a beautiful cashmere wrap I had bought as a souvenir on a business trip to India. I would rather have left behind pretty much anything else instead…it was both expensive and irreplaceable! I still get mad when I think about it, three years later.

@alexisatk: I left a 200-cd holder on a plan once! UGH I was devasated! It was FULL of CDs – and not burned ones, either – real CDs.

I left a paperback copy of The Darwin Awards. That’s the only thing I think.
