Etta James- at last. Totally love that song and the music of that era so it was always going to be an old classic.
I love Van Morrison's Into the Mystic!!!! We are doing something very odd and I am very nervous about it... Love Cats by The Cure...
The Very Thought of You by Etta James. A very jazzy, old-school song that is just beautiful. We love that it's different "enough" but still something people will recogonize and enjoy listening too.
We think we're doing Sugarland's "Stuck Like Glue" which has a fun beat :-)
We are undecided, I would love to go with "Feels like home- Edwina Hayes" from the Notebook soundtrack, but FI likes "I don't wanna miss a thing- AeroSmith". In the end we will pick something that makes us both feel warm inside :) You guys have some awesome songs
@noritake22: Love that song! I think we will also end up picking a song a guy sings, its just more powerfull for me, kind of like, my new husband is singing it to me.
"Lucky" --Jason Mraz and Colbie Calliat. Others in the running included Chasing Cars- Snow Patrol, You and Me- Lifehouse, and Never Gonna Be Alone- Nickleback.

We have about 1,000 "our songs", but we chose I Love The Way You Love Me by John Michael Montgomery because we were being cheesy and danced to it in his living room the first time I said I love you. (He had already said multiple times)

Ours is "Nothing Else Matters" - Metallica
We had to change ours at the very last min. Like, seriously, 2 days before the wedding! We were trying to practice and I put on my shoes and crinny and.... epic fail! We sat with iTunes for forever and wound up settling for "Dance like nobody's Watching" by donavon frankenreiter
We have a jazz band playing our reception, and have a surprise planned for our first dance. We are printing our first dance song lyrics on the back of our menus and will ask the guests to sing it to us.
After some hard thinking last night we finally settled on "The Way You Look Tonight".
It's jazzy and familiar enough that everyone will be able to sing it easily. I hope it works out well, because who doesn't love a big crowd singing together??? :)
@onmyway: Really neat idea! I would totally participate if I went to your wedding. :)
I should also mention that our FD song (Lucky) will be sung live to a karaoke track by my very talented Sister/MOH and a very talented GM. I plan on crying because they sound so good together! (Yeah, they're actually doing a duet during the ceremony too.)
We haven't chosen yet but Make You Feel My Love by Adele is my favorite so far...so beautiful!
We're doing a completely different song although I am trying to convince FI to dance "Some Kind of Wonderful" by the Drifters
We're dancing a song in spanish from Franco De Vita "Te Amo" which has alot of meaning to us when we started dating.
We chose " The day before you" by Matthew West.
It's amazingly perfect for us...it makes me cry everytime I hear it.

We're dancing to the movie version of "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge.
Love you to the end - Pogues. We're trying to find a good cover of it though, the original is pretty slow.
